One thing I've learned with these robotic vacuums is they will break at some point. I was this close to pulling the trigger on this but looked at the recent reviews and this company doesn't respond to customer issues. Too much to spend to not have support so I'll pass.
Everything breaks at some point.

Things don't break when you take care of them.

In the case of these vacuums; clean the brushes, empty the bin, remove harmful objects from the floor before operating (small items or cables that could get stuck in the wheels, prevent the brushes from spinning, etc), cut hairs out so the motor can spin freely, and occasionally give the filters a wash or less occasionally, a replacement.

Did all of the above with my Neato D5 Connected. Lidar system broke and it's currently w/Ifixrobot for repair. Agree any mechanical device will break but read recent reviews, seller is non-responsive. It isn't just one or two reviews, it is many saying same thing.

Btw, your first two statements directly contradict each other.

Roborock has been very responsive in my experience. I contacted them through the form on amazon and they responded on the same day to help resolve my issue.

Everything breaks but things don't break?

If I have to pick up objects before running this thing, why not just hit it with a manual vacuum?

Neato was my single worst robotic vacuum experience. Every 3-6 months they basically sent me a refurbished model until they could run out the original warranty. laugh out loud

Can someone comment if they have returned the S4 for the S5? I got the S4 on the last deal and it is a big improvement from my old Deebot N80. I can see the struggle on the transitions for the S4, I wonder how it is on the S5. As far as cleaning, I wonder how any better it can get because the S4 does a terrific job. The bin is too small in my opinion, and the Apps, having 2 more or so with noticeable differences doesn't make sense. Now, my question again, does the S5 does better on climbing transitions better than the S4. I don't care about the mop option.
