Ryobi 40V 300-Watt Powered Inverter with 6.0 Ah Battery Included $149

HD Deal of the Day

Battery alone normally goes for more than this. If you need a spare 40V for your mower, chainsaw, blower, weed eater, etc. this seems like it's a good deal. I need another one for my chainsaw and the inverter will be nice for charging/running devices at the shed and for running the wifi router when the power goes out.

Looks like a great deal. I'm just worried that once I get a 40v battery, I'll start looking for excuses to buy 40v tools.

I've used this combo during power outages with a power strip to keep my wife's entire work rig running, 2x27" monitors, laptop (charging), etc.

Do you need a separate charger for the battery?

If your sump pump draws less than 2.5 amps, then yes. All the ones I just randomly looked up drew more than that.

Another option is the 5 Ah 40v for $119, for bare battery.

If I order this today (July 11th) but it's not available for in-store pick up until say, July 15th, would I still be able to get the Home Depot 11% back that ends today?
