These aren't brushed stainless like the originals that are NOT made for Macy's. These made for Macy's are the mirrored finish which is worse (easily scratched, scuffs, etc.). I don't recommend these.
was curious of the difference as well. from the website from Macy's:

All-Clad offers a wide selection of product lines that all have different materials and innovations depending on your own cookware needs!

The difference between the 7-pc Stainless Steel set and the D3 set is that the 7-pc Stainless Steel set features it's signature 3-ply Stainless Steel with aluminum core construction with a smaller piece count than the original 10-pc set, which is completely exclusive to Macy's! The D3 set features a unique space saving, stacking design with interchangeable lids for ultimate convenience and multi-functionality. It also has a new contoured handle design and flared rims for easier pouring. The 7-pc Macy's exclusive set has a polished exterior, while the 8-pc D3 set has a brushed, more matted look.

Both sets are designed with high quality 18/10 Stainless Steel, are dishwasher safe, and are also compatible with induction cooktops! The difference is subtle but ultimately you will not go wrong with either!

Hope this helps Smilie
If you don't care about them being display objects and just want good cookware then these will function exactly same as D3.

D3.. i bought it last month when it was on similar sale.. they are awesome.. heats much better than the Zwilling Henckels 3-ply set from costco that we have been using for about a year.. the handle leaves lot to be desired though.. needless to say we are keeping it and now looking to expand by adding a 12" fry pan and 14" saute-fry pan

Great deal for a perfect size set. This is the D3 series (3 ply). This set says it's "Made for Macy's", so you won't find the exact set on All-Clad's website, but here is the D3 Stainless Collection page, where you can compare:
