Nice deal for office work and some basic multitasking, everything other than the processor and iGPU are immaculate here.

I5 🤣🤣🤣🤣 trash
Why?

Not everyone needs an i7. If it's because it's not the right i5, what would be?

They're might be referring to the new AMD cpus that are trouncing Intel's current offerings.

I got the 8Gb/256Gb version for ~$850 around Memorial Day. If you're looking for a light weight laptop with excellent performance this is a good choice.

The screen isn't that bright, computer isn't that fast, battery doesn't last that long. I ended up returning this. Only great thing was the keyboard and portability.

So basically the most important parts of a computer.

I kid (sort of). I realize some people care more about form factor of the actual laptop.

For me, I could never justify the subpar components.

Depends on your priorities. If light weight is a factor (for me it is) I can live with the "subpar components".

But there are tons of other laptops that have better components and are lightweight.

For almost $1100, I'd expect a much better processor.

Again, I understand that for a lot of people it's a brand thing. And the actual build quality of the ThinkPads tend to be good.

Yeah everyone wants an unproven AMD processor that's only selling point is it's cinebench scores.

This X1 Carbon is Lenovo's top tier business ultrabook. Definitely not the best spec'd machine but it's very hard to get into one of these with 16GB ram (soldered) for around $1k.

This laptop is for very specific type of people. For example you can have issues with much faster 3rd gen amd on Linux but this cpu and overall package is fully supported by all major distros. Laptop is more than a toy for some. I don't think x1c needs any explanation so I'm gonna leave it that way.

Intel garbage, lol. Enjoy your CPU with 2015 tech, LMAO @ $1000+ puny quad core in 2020.
Again, this is not a gaming laptop. It's selling point is not performance. Intel is not garbage. i5-10210U is not from 2015.
