I finally was able to get this deal when I created a new account; it wouldn't give me the discount on my existing account.

I had to create a new account, login, then buy and the extra discount showed up. Existing account did not work. Also, doing guest checkout did not work.

What is special about this WD SSd compared to
Crucial P1 500GB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD, up to 2000MB/s - CT500P1SSD8
that sells for $60 on Amazon?

From Toms Hardware
"The Black SN750 delivers peak speeds of up to 3,470/3,00MB/s read/write"

Edited: The 500GB write is 2600MB/s .

Be VERY careful ordering directly from WD. I bought 2 of these and only received one. Took several weeks along with a thorough investigation to get the second one. If I had to do it over again, I would pay the extra $5 or so more each and not deal with the hassle. YMMV.

why is it that every time I see this deal published, the price never shows for me? I sign in and keep seeing 69.99 all the way to the end!

Didn't need the promo code. But did need to create account. Had a 15 percent off but this only applies to original purchase and so is actually worse off.

Also. They charged me twice. If the authorization from PayPal doesn't drop off on its own. Gonna be fun.

Edit. BTW, do you need a heatsink with this?

Why are so many people insanely cheap? You will NEVER see SSD prices this low again. Sure, when the new tech comes out these will be close out, but they are never going to give them away.

Just did it, worked for me.

I made a new account (I never had one), no code needed.

Is it bad that I'm prebuying this for a blackfriday purchase?
I haven't seen anything good on BF in a long time. It always seems like I save more buying before BF than waiting.
