Many of Comcast / Xfinity many areas are being "upgraded" from 1TB to 1.2TB Data Cap. 2 courtesy over-limit credits is gone. You only get 1 courtesy credit if you never exceeded their data cap before. If you did, and think yo have 1 more left, check your plan - it looks like those are gone. If you are counting on it - check your plan!
Comcast will squeeze you for $10 for each 50 GB over limit.

Thanks for the extra 0.2TB increase Comcast but that is still not enough for 2020 IMO. People have streaming services, video conferences / calls, cloud backup, cloud security cameras, kids streaming school, work from home folks doing meetings and video calls, Skype, zoom, etc. The world is going to the cloud and Comcast is still on the stone age plan for data caps.

FYI - Data cap freeze has ended July 1st.

They are now charging +$25 for unlimited. It includes a access point. Which is useless.

I would confirm the 2 chances.

Edit: it's $30 and now have 1 courtesy wave.

Or $30 for unlimited if you have your own router and modem.

For my area the cap of 1.2TB is the same for all plans. Since this is area specific, login to you account and see what your cap is set to.

Yeah, our household used like 1.8tb last month. Just streaming and games mostly. So we have to keep paying $25/mo for unlimited. No other reliable high speed provider here either, so we're stuck with this one option.

If you're in one of those cap areas....do yourself a favor and complain to the FCC. It's obviously targeted to areas where to they can squeeze you for more money. I used to be in one....and with 3 connected teenagers we busted all the time.

Wow, that's a crappy limit. I was annoyed my connection gets throttled after 5TB and has a hard limit of 15tb. If you have a enough people in your household, you'd be surprised at how much your data usage could be.

Hmm, my unlimited data still shows $50, need to read up to see if I need to do anything for the $30 price.
