I'm not sure if this game is on Game Pass anymore, but at $5.99, the digital price to own is hard to pass up. This game has been out for the better part of a decade, so no need for introductions. As an avid Street Fighter fan, I was extremely disappointed that Capcom dropped Microsoft so quickly and made SF5 a Sony exclusive, but I have made peace with it, seeing how much a pos SF5 has become. The OG players still congregate to this game, more specifically the Ultra iteration of this game, which can be bought as a DLC upgrade. If you watched Evo, Capcom Cup, or CEO in the past, you will still run into a lot of familiar tournament names playing online today. The community is thriving.

If anyone ever wants to play, my Xbox gamertag is the same as my SD handle.

Are these only available for XB360? I looked for XB1 and didn't see the links.

Also, do you have to have Live for these to work? Thanks.
Yes, This game is backward compatible w/ Xbox 360/Xbox. Yes,XBox Live is how you download it.

Yes, I play daily on my XB1X, Microsoft did a really good job with all their BC titles, I have yet to run into a single issue playing this game, and the frame rate never drops
Do you think the Sega Vintage Collection: Golden Axe (for the Xbox 360) will be backwards-compatible with the Xbox One, too?

SFV has been dumbed down for casual play.

I still can't recommend it. Capcom lied about everything thing with each iteration of the game. The community has long abandoned it.

My 0.02:

Get Ultra SF IV as it is the definitive version of SFIV and has plenty of people still playing online. If you don't plan on using the characters added by Ultra (or want to buy Ultra as DLC on a sale or something), or plan to play casually with friends then save a few bucks and get this. Definitely do NOT get Vanilla unless you really really don't care about SF and just want to play with your kid or something. Whoever said vanilla is in a bubble is a good way of putting it.

SFV couldn't get into it. I tried but I still prefer USFIV.

While the game itself is backward compatible, just be mindful that if you have invested in any Xbox 360 arcade fight sticks in the past, those are unfortunately not forward compatible with the Xbox One. I found it extremely hard to play these 6-button fighting games with the stock Xbox 360 / Xbox One gamepad.

Not really similar. Street Fighter games are far more classic in their mechanics. Getting good takes time and skill. Though it can definitely be picked up and played by a novice. Smash is more casual. For $6 it'll likely provide a few hours of entertainment so I think def worth it

Smash has a casual learning curve, but the mechanics are solid even at high level play, and the pro leagues are just as fun to watch as street fighter imo

That being said, SF is definitely for the more hardcore fighting gamer. It takes weeks to learn the combos and different executions like FADC combos, and the timing and spacing takes even longer. Its an investment heavy game, but so satisfying once you get good. I've logged hundreds of hours into this game and don't think I will ever get bored

Unrelated, but anybody have any idea why SSF2 turbo HD isn't available on XBox one even if you had it on 360? Have the collection, but I loved that remaster way back when it came out

No, Sony paid Capcom a ton of money for exclusive rights.

But maybe SF6?

Is it much better than the original SF 4 that's only .79 cents?

So Ultra SF IV is an add-on to Super SFIV Arcade Edition?

Is there just an "Ultimate Edition" that includes everything on sale. Seems ridiculous with all these versions.
