neatly use of electrical tape solves this
It was at $6.98 last week, something like 40% off. I did not bother to post here thinking it was regular price. Perhaps the price will drop again.
To those worried about lack of a mounting screw capability, there is a rather complex workaround if you're nifty enough.

Hold this multiple outlet surge protector with one hand, and remove the stiff plug with the other.

Let me know if you still need help and I can try to make a YouTube video and post one. Might take a bit because it's a complex and long process compared to moaning and bitching.

The "Protected" light is bothersome if you need complete darkness at night.

I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 for $6.98 last week. Although it has less surge protection (560 Joules vs 1000 Joules), it is a lot more practical because the angles allow 6 power adaptors to be plugged in. It also had free prime shipping so you do not have to drive to your local walmart if you have prime.

Good price, but missing one of the most important features in a plug-in wall outlet adapter... the mounting screw. No mounting screw = no deal.

Don't expect to use all 6 outlets at the same time given how closely space they are unless you don't have any charger to plug in.

Is it safe to plug electrical strips into one of these wall outlet adapter things?

Be careful. Too much amperage draw could cause it to run hot. I'm not an electrician, but logically I wouldn't think THIS would be A good idea

Dumb question. Do you have to remove the face plate to mount it?

No... the ones with a screw just require that you remove the center screw from the wall outlet plate and then use the screw that comes with multi-outlet to secure it to outlet over the wall outlet plate. The one in OP requires nothing, but they also have a tendency to pull out of the wall when removing a stiff plug.
