I very strongly recommend looking into the issues with buying memory cards like this on Amazon. The number of fakes, and the inability to tell is likely to cause an issue for most buyers who are looking to use anywhere near the stated capacity, or who require the advertised speeds. If your data doesn't matter much, roll the dice, but if it does, please don't buy a memory card from Amazon.
Just got this 200GB direct for SanDisk (Western Digital) for a bit less ($21.59) before tax. Free Shipping. Shows same price as Amazon on item page but was cheaper in cart for some reason. Plus you don't have to worry about fake cards...

Unfortunately that's not the case. As I said, I'd urge you to look up this particular issue as it's been an unresolved issue for years. Amazon's inventory grouping system is the problem and it doesn't make a difference whether it's a good seller, whether it's Amazon itself as the seller, or anything else like Prime. It's a complete gamble no matter what you do, and there's so many fakes that the odds are against you.

Wow, the 512GB is $64, barely a premium per GB for the larger size.

U3 is recommended for 4k recording.

For my phone, my switch, or my raspberry pi running retro pie, do I need u3? Or will I see no difference with u1?

200GB card is not a bad deal at $24, the 512GB one is $64 and only U1 though for speeds. I looked on Amazon and you can get U3 one at 512GB for not a whole lot more money. If you want future proofing on a big card I'd go with one labeled U3 on it.

512gb Sandisk U3 version for $80

Possibly could affect the phone if it's able to record 4k otherwise read speeds are similar on most U3/U1 cards. U1 is fine for the switch and pi.

I think you're good if the seller is Amazon. The 3rd party merchants are where I'd be careful. Even if fulfilled by Amazon and prime eligible.

I ordered one of these maybe a year or 2 ago. Wanted to expand my Moto G5. It eventually started running unbearably slow. I thought it was the phone. Fast forward to a few months ago when I took it out of the phone and decided to use it in the Switch. Even games like speedrunners (a side scrolling game) took forever to load. I tried a few speed tests for the card in my PC. I was getting SINGLE DIGIT read/write speeds. It's still in the Switch, but I really want to upgrade. But, definitely not going to try another one of these. Anyone seen this issue?
