Aspriation is offering a $100 bonus when you open a new Spend & Save account [aspiration.com] and spend at least $1,000 in purchases in the first 60 days.

Offer Terms and Conditions:
  • Offer is only valid for customers who open a new Aspiration Spend & Save Account.
  • Secondary owner joining an already established account as a joint user does not qualify for promotion.
  • Customer must complete the following activities: (1) Open and fund an Aspiration Spend & Save Account with a deposit of $10 or more, and (2) Use their Aspiration debit card to make at least $1,000 worth of cumulative transactions within the first 60 calendar days from account opening.
  • $1,000 transaction minimum refers to net purchases (purchases minus any credits or returns).
  • Allow up to 120 calendar days from account opening for the $100 offer credit to post to your Aspiration Spend & Save Account.
  • Aspiration Spend & Save Account must be open and in good standing, in the sole determination of Aspiration, through the date of the credit.

Essentially a 10% cash back if you meet the $1000 mark the first 4 months. The only catch is that it is a debit card being used.

Soft pull - Debit cards do not appear on your credit history or affect your credit score since you're not "borrowing money" like you would a credit card.

This is basically a checking and savings account. You deposit your own money in and use that. Nothing different from other bank opening promos aside from this company being more green than say chase.

This bank is REALLY slow to post deposits. My guess is they need to profit off the "float."
