Got mine today, Sent from the California store w/o the original box. It was lightly wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a box about twice as big as the sub. When i got it on my porch the box was completely crushed about 1/3 of the way down until it hit the top of the sub, and open. I think the sub rolled around the box all the way from the west coast to the east coast, and fell out once or twice. All the damage it received was minor indentations on 2 corners. But, it is not wanting to pair via bluetooth even after entering the default "0000" code. Updating firmware next to see if that helps. Crossing fingers ! Wish i could put pics here to show the box !
Tip to anyone updating the firmware: I had to find an old 16gb USB 2.0 drive, and make sure it was formatted to FAT32. NTFS failed on 2 larger USB 3.0 USB sticks i tried. It may be able to work on a USB 3.0, make sure you format it to FAT32. It says this no where in the firmware update instructions.

Got mine in yesterday but haven't had much time to play with it yet.

My box was fine, inside it was wrapped in bubblewrap, like yours.

I have one indention on the back side edge, top has some scuffs, but nothing too major. It basically looks like a standard used sub ... some marks, but at least no major gashes or huge dents. The material they use to cover this with seems like a scuff magnet however... kind of plasticy vinyl... no way to wipe away any scuffs.

I didn't have an issue with bluetooth when I tried it, did the auto setup thing, seems to work fine. I need to follow it up with an AVR calibration (using a cheap AVR for this setup, so need to do it the old fashioned way by measuring channel levels).

My first impression is that this will at least be an upgrade over what I was using (older 10" boston sub) but it probably won't replace my ancient 12" sub in my tv room. Also seems more of a musical than 'boom' type of sub, which is probably a good thing for most people.

Mine came in a box made out of two boxes with no protection inside but arrived in near perfect condition other than were you can see they taped the price and what not on it.

Note you don't need to pair with the code 0000 just download the app and it will see it and if it doesn't than the firmware needs updated, your suppose to use a usb drive less than 8gb but if you don't have one just you a free partition manager and make it smaller and format it to fat32.

If someone needs the hex file pm me and I can email it.

It sounds pretty good for as small as it is, I've only listened to music so far but was pretty happy, certainly worth 100

When using the elac sub control 2.0 app it connects everytime for me. If using the older elac app, it never connects. So if folks are having any issues, I guess also make sure to use the newer app. According to the app docs, the 12EQ requires a firmware upgrade to use the app, but the 10EQ isn't marked as requiring it. I didn't have to update any firmware on mine, connected right away.

I also pressed 'reset' on the sub beforehand, just out of habit of basically zeroing out any new devices ... not sure if it matters or not.
