Well, you can't release all free AAA games all the time. The megaman one looks fun enough IMO. If your argument was that they are releasing more shovelware recently and not as frequent AAA $20-$50 games as before, my question is what are you comparing it to? Steam throws you a bone during Summer and Winter sales by offering you games they charge $50 for marked down to $20 if you are lucky, and GOG has sales, but I don't remember any other platform where I literally have a library of of over 100 games that I paid nothing for. Even with a good amount of shovelware, I'd say my library has at least 20%-30% of good games (though some dated a bit) and 10% great games.
10% of 100 games is 10 games, so let me check...Ark:Survival Evolved, the entire Batman series, Borderlands 2 and Pre-sequel, Darksiders 2, Grand Theft Auto V, Hello Neighbor, Just Cause 4, Killing Floor 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Sid Meier's Civilization VI, Subnautica, Watchdogs, Transistor, World War Z.

I saved at least $50 by not having to buy Hello Neighbor, Subnautica, and a few of the good older games that were all on my Steam wishlist previously. I now have a second copy of Ark Survival Evolved, Grand Theft Auto V, and Borderlands 2 that I didn't have to repurchase for my wife so we can play simultaneously or on a LAN.

Sorry to get on a rant, but all the previous Epic posts filled with page after page of Steam fanboys crying about some perceived or imagined problem with Epic (the Chinese are spying on you, the 2 year old Epic platform isn't as smooth as the 20 year old Steam platform (go figure), and the ever classic "I can only handle one platform because my tiny intellect means I can't figure out how to add Epic games to Steam through the "add a non-steam game to library" option or use GOG Galaxy.

Anyhow, I love Epic's tactic for competing with Steam as they are the only one with any headway whatsoever (sorry EA, Ubisoft, and all the others that crashed and burned). I even bought the TellTale Walking Dead Definitive Edition when it was on deep discount and they offered the $10 off coupon during one of their sales. Also, I got Watch Dogs 2 and Far Cry 5 and a few other deeply discounted games from them, as I felt all the money I saved from the free games I would have bought on Steam justified throwing a few dollars their way. The simple minded fanboys that love monopolies and/or work for Steam can eat a dick IMO.

PS, to the original poster of this comment, I am not aiming this at you. I just wanted to make a point that any free games are good to get, and with so many good to great games mixed in over the year(s), you can get a nice collection of games by just logging into Epic once a week and then closing and ending task on the EpicGameLauncher.exe and UnrealCEFSub within a few seconds so nothing is running in the background.
- The full title of the last game is "Sword and Sworcery EP"
- EP in this case stands for "Extended Play", and is a reference to records that have more songs than a single, but less than an album (also called an "LP", for Long Play)
- S&S has an overall music theme, so they put EP in the title as a riff on that (for whatever reason, a lot of real music EPs also put "EP" in their titles)
It's not megaman, it's made by megaman fans who wanted to recreate what made megaman great.

Anyone get a "Your account is unable to download any more free games at this time, please wait 24 hours before trying to redeem a free game again." error message?

Thanks! I try to disallow Epic from running since, like Battle.net, it tabs me out of programs and games and is generally annoying... so I wouldn't have known about this batch of free games without this post

20XX looks a lot like MegaMan. Why the name change?
