Yes you are. The Chase Freedom and Freedom Unlimited are different cards. Go and apply for it! If you do, please use someone's referral link (they get $100) to share the wealth!

Can I refer myself? Don't know anyone that has a Chase Freedom Unlimited card.

Repeal 5/24 and you can sign me up!
Thought it was 3 in 24... I've only done Apple Card, Amex, and AT&T postpaid iPad plan within the past two years, so I should be golden. Don't think Amex even did a hard pull this time either.

FIY, this is rotating categories. You don't expect to earn 5 percent back on groceries year round
You sure you're not thinking of the regular Chase Freedom card?

Chase Freedom =/= Chase Freedom Unlimited

Not true. The 5% is back on the first year. There are no rotating categories for this card. Please be careful of what you post.

This has been going on for a while. I signed up a month ago because I was going to be making a ton of purchases and wanted to take advantage of the 0% APR. I got the $200 bonus immediately.

No, this is a new promotion that started yesterday. On TOP of the $200 bonus, there is a limited 5% cashback from grocery shopping for 1 year.

If you do not have a credit history, Chase is unlikely to approve you. I would recommend a student credit card (if you're a student), or consider a secured credit card (eg. Discover it® Secured)

Been doing alot of credit card sign up promotions. Always paying on time and such. I have good credit but i fear having 9-12 credit cards is bad, even though i use like 4 of them .
What you guys think? Is it worth grabbing another? Just curious of ur thoughts Slickdealers

Bad? No! Someone is giving you garbage advice...

They're only bad if you are maxing-out the lines! Having many lines with a high amount of credit available and low utilization is a great thing!

The goal is to have as many lines as possible with very little balance on each so they do not close. Your credit will initially take a hit because your overall credit history will be lowered with each new opening...so best to open early on in your life!

Feel free to ping me if you need more information.

$200 on $500 spend is pretty good nowadays, especially for Chase.
Agreed, although I did get $500 from Chase for combined checking/savings account openings.

Opened the Chase Freedom "Unlimited" a few weeks ago,
just passed the $500 spend this week,
we'll see how long for the bonus to post.
Seems they have been good about it.
