Ryobi 40v String Trimmer Attachment Capable $114 at Home Depot YMMV

YMMV Zip Code 32256. Ryobi 40v String Trimmer that is Attachment Capable for $114 at Home Depot online and in store. Includes battery and charger. Used veteran discount for an extra 10% off to make it a little sweeter.

I am heavily invested in the Expand-it accessories and have been shopping for an attachment capable string trimmer for a long time. This price seems feisty to me.

The Brushless version is on sale for $154 - price lowered which is also feisty.

Brushed and brushless leaf blowers are also included in this deal

Select Brushless mowers also included

Do you think using the word "feisty" incorrectly is witty, or do you really not know what it means?
You're feisty.

I think this is an old model, maybe 3+ years old. I don't keep up to know if it's been replaced or will be soon.
I've had mine that long & am satisfied with it & would buy it again. Sufficient for a suburban St Augustine lawn. I think I can do front & back on 1 charge but don't- easier to break into chunks. Batteries are nice.

I have the $119 version. I don't know what else exists that's better- ego has bad battery placement (especially if you have the monster battery). Maybe Milwaukee.
Oh, the rotate lever sticks and is a minor nuisance when you need to rotate the head, but just a gripe. Also sliding the battery in is a tight fit. Also the string breaks maybe once or twice a session. Again, just annoyances. It's fine

Would it make sense to jump in the 40 volt family if the 18 volt brushless is the same price with 4ah battery? I have little use for a string trimmer outside of light twice and my gas unit is pissing me off.

Someone is a bit feisty and needs a chill pill.

I might for some, especially if you already have batteries. Not if you want to use attachments though.

I have the brushless version, and the self-powered 40V Ryobi mower. They're both great.

Maybe 'shiesty' would be a better term.

The trimmer pictured is the old "Connextion" trimmer and NOT compatible with the "Expand-It" series of tools FYI

Correct, I adjusted the links which got mixed up, hopefully the pic will be adjusted by a moderator, I will see if I can change.
