Don't know why the thumbs down, except perhaps a preference for a different brand? General consensus is that these are excellent speakers, but that many people would prefer devices designed with more bass. Posters who purchased the previous deal came back and posted that they were happy with the purchase.

i bought this the last time , i have it on our deck, yes it does withstand splashes, light drizzle , sound good for a 60$ speaker , only gripe is you have to use bluetooth and no wifi streaming , i hooked up a alexa though the aux to control music ( fortunately it has a aux port)

Man, specs look really solid. 60 watts, 15hr battery. Mackie doesn't put their name on crap either, one of the most respected brands in pro audio. Tempting. Need to find reviews.

I bought it the last time around. It is pretty solid. But it is quiet until you get to 3/4 volume on your device I.e. my cell phone through blue tooth.

Is it louder when it is plugged in? I have a premium 60w speaker that gets significantly more powerful when plugged in vs battery power.
Tough to find reviews on these which is frustrating

I got this last time as well. It is very good, not the loudest, but the sounds quality is very good. I use it at a state park and the volume was good for that, but the quality is what sold me on it.

I got this last time it was on sale for this price -- excellent crisp stereo sound with decent bass for the size, just what I was looking for. Has an Aux In jack, which I connected to a Chromecast Audio. The only downside is that it doesn't stay connected via Bluetooth very well to my Chromebooks, although it's not a problem with my Pixel 3 XL -- might be more of an issue with the Chrome OS BT stack.

It was my first purchase through BuyDig, and their service was good. I subsequently bought a Moment wide angle lens for my phone through them, which was also a good experience -- had a question for them about warranty, and they responded promptly. So not a fly-by-night company.Smilie

Don't sweat it, I experience this same behavior here. I think some people just like to bag on everything. I think it's a good deal Smilie

Maybe it's the advertised power output and battery life - no way can you get 60 watts and 15 hours with today's rechargeable battery technology. It's probably more like 15-20W RMS.

Mackie used to be a solid brand when Greg Mackie was running things but they've tiptoed into Behringer territory with some of their products.
