From adidas.com, "The Lexicon launched in the mid '90s to give structured support and stability to serious runners. These shoes bring back the retro-tech look with the same lightweight mesh upper and textured suede 3-Stripes as the 1994 version. The translucent tube that runs through the eyestay and collar for pressure distribution adds an authentic detail from the archive design."

I've bought 5 pairs of fila disruptors during quarantine, mainly for nostalgia and they were all around $25 each. So I'm not against this chunky, dad shoe trend. At the very least in these types of shoes have soles won't soften or wear down much and are wearable in all weather conditions unlike more modern lightweight thin, knit material shoes. For beater, daily shoes I don't mind wearing fila or saucony shadow originals. And if you're able to get them on sale, adidas continental 80s are nice too

Perfect dad shoes. Pair with a nice set of cargo shorts, crew socks, and your favorite Hawaiian shirt.

I fully recognize that SD is mostly dadcore, like I remember people here trashing the Adidas track jacket that recently was on sale here

But these shoes seriously are like grandpa shoes. I like 90s fashion but this is some horrible crap Jerry Seinfeld would wear. Barely a step above white New Balance 608s (the famous all white dad/grandpa shoes)

These don't look like they are from the 90's, they are from the 90's. They are called lxcon 94 because they came out in 1994. I thought I'd mention it as it seems like some didn't make the connection. And yes these are fire, like most other sneakers that came out in the 90's.

Yes, congrats. They are from the 90s and look like they're from the 90s. Congrats on adding value to the conversation. Ha

Absolutely from the 90's, florescent yellow AND orange on the same shoe? Only in the 90's... I'm more surprised that these beauties haven't been mentioned much:

This pair makes me want to track down Larry Bird for a game of one-on-one, then hit a Jazzercise class in a high school gymnasium wearing my favorite jogging suit pants. Anyone seen my sweatband?

Just about every designer Calvin Klein included has joined in the chunky shoe trend. I got a pair of Coach shoes that are a little on the heavy side. I don't mind that. I'd rather have shoes made with leather or suede than cheap synthetic leather.
