Dont do it.
Gigabyte's support is horrible and RMA is illusory. I had the 32 for all of 35 days, then the backlight started failing.

Gigabyte doesn't do return shipping on RMAs. The return shipping quoted to me was $300... Basically if your monitor is broken, their opinion is F.U.

Buy at your own risk. Wish I had known.

I assume RX580 at 1440p, you have to tone down some graphics settings at least with recent releases
On games like Apex Legends and newer titles yes, but DOOM 2016 runs about 120-150fps on nightmare settings with Vulkan. I just run Apex at 1080p because there's little to no visual difference that I could see fullscreen. 1080 still looks really sharp on this screen so until I can upgrade I have no problem running my games at that resolution if I need to.

"G-Sync compatible ready" is meaningless. If it's not on Nvidia's list, you should not expect a flawless performance with Nvidia cards.

How about G Sync?
I think the newest generation of Nvidia gpu's are freesync compatible now if that applies to you.

Bought this monitor a few weeks a go and I'm supper happy with it. Colors are fantastic, usb3.0 hub is a bonus and freesync compatible. HDR is decent but don't expect much from it because this panel doesn't get bright enough so it can't compete to an OLED panel. At first there was a lot of black level smearing while gaming but I found a post on Reddit that recommended setting the gamma to 4 and the display overdrive to balance in that really helped. I'll be waiting to see if someone shares their ICC profile to get an even better picture quality.

Would it be weird to have this and a Dell S2716DG side by side on a vesa mount? 🤔
Yes since this is a curved monitor. I also own the S2716DG (great monitor).

Even if a monitor is g-sync compatible it can flicker with g-sync. The Samsung G7, many of them have a "reported" flicker with g-sync on.

That's actually the same setup I have. The 32 inch version of this and the Dell 27. It works well for me.

I'm assuming you have the curve in the middle and the dell on the right? That's what I was planning to do

How does this compare with LG 27GL83A-B?
LG is a flat IPS and has slightly better color accuracy. Its only 144hz and the HDR is also pretty much a gimmick without local dimming and enhanced brightness.

I own the LG and its a great monitor. However even on sale it cost $60 dollars more than the Gigabyte.

Not sure if it helps with this specific problem, but Nvidia released driver 451.85 yesterday to add support for the G7.
