YMMV, and I'm seeing it in-store only, but Brickseek [brickseek.com] is showing literally every store around me "In Stock" at $4.99 so IF you're going to Target anyways, it's worth keeping an eye out for this.

I do not suggest risking your health just to pick up some hand sanitizer, that would be counterproductive!

    My local Target has showed in stock for two weeks, yet each time I shop there they are out of stock. Brickseek doesn't appear accurate for this product, or Target.

    Are you saying Brickseek and the Target website both showed in stock for your local store?

    There are some stores further than 50 miles away from my location showing out of stock on Brickseek, so I don't think it's completely off and it is YMMV. I am not guaranteeing you'll find this, but noting it's worth looking out for if you're there.

    If you went to the store, punch in the DPCI in the price scanners. If it shows in stock, tell a team member to grab it for you. It won't always be on the shelves but if it's in stock and you ask for it, they'll get it for you.

    i think calling the store in this case is acceptable; it is neither a price mistake or rare commodity (hand sanitizers in general).

    edit: plus, minimizing the risk by only going to the store that you know have in stock helps.

    I would say it would be totally okay to call in this case. The items could only be purchased in limited quantities and it is very likely all employees know about this anyway. Even though the inventory for targets has been incorrect, shipments will continue to come so these deals are not as rare as Walmart YMMV deals.

    many times target does have it, it's just in the back and not on a shelf out front. I find this frequently with cleaning related stuff last couple months. They can enter the dpci number on their handheld and tell you for sure.

    Sorry for delayed response. Yes both Target website and Brickseek showed in stock for several weeks but each trip it was never in stock in that particular store. I agree with you that if you are in store anyway it's worth looking out for. Repped
