How's this one compared with the popular WInix 545?

It's rated for a bit less in area 360 sq ft vs 434 sq ft with the blueair, and so it's lower CADR values. Still a good purifier just not as powerful/fast to filter a room.

The Winix C545 has the following CADR ratings:
Dust: 243
Smoke: 232
Pollen: 246

The Blueair C405 has the following CADR ratings:
Dust: 300
Smoke: 280
Pollen: 300

Curious if anyone with any air purifier ever used a generic air filter from say Life Supply USA, FilterBros, etc that you see on eBay as much cheaper alternatives.

I have once. But quality is noticeable I would not recommend aftermarket filters. Costco will sell blueair filters on sale occasionally, i would buy then.
