Whenever laptop deals get posted, I feel like there should be mandatory information that must be listed. People almost inevitably will ask these questions in the comments thread, and it's just a good practice regardless.

RAM: 8 gigs. 1 4 gig stick is soldered. 1 4 gig stick is replaceable.
Max RAM: 12 gigs. So you could buy an 8 gig stick of laptop RAM and upgrade.
RAM Type: SO-DIMM 260-pin 2666 MHz DDR4 SDRAM
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
Monitor Brightness: 300 nits. Pretty damn bright.
HDD: 256 SSD. This means the laptop has no moving parts.

Laptop Model Number: 81WC0014US
Probably HD with 4GB RAM Smilie
Well said. This info would help negate the same questions that get asked about 10 times throughout the life of the deal. Great info

My sony vaio 17" has a 2nd gen gen i5....but 16GB of ram and an SSD ...it works fine for all my tasks including work and dozens of chrome tabs. Not for gaming, of course...i haven't even felt the need to upgrade it, but feels tempting with this one

Switch to a SSD and add/upgrade to 8gb if you can (hopefully it's not soldered in place). That will make a big difference on the cheap, short of buying a new laptop.

Just so you know, you responded to a joke reply to the OP, not to an actual answer. They never replied with what they have as far as RAM or storage/OS drive mated to their i5 laptop. Good tip though, just as implied with the joke.
