LOCKED to Cricket- requires 6 months service to unlock. Stacks with $25 referral credit for NEW account. Existing cricket customers also can get $50 credit read wiki .

Search eBay for "$25 cricket credit iphone"- the FREE referral link is in the eBay item description here's no need to pay $0.99. REMEMBER sharing, advertising, or PMing referrals is a VIOLATION of SD rules & can result in a BAN

EXISTING
Cricket Customers

STEP 1
Create a new account to purchase the phone. You can self refer and both your existing and new accounts will each get $25

If you have a non-AT&T number, you can port into Cricket. If you have an AT&T number, you can purchase a non-AT&T number from eBay

STEP 2
Before purchasing your free iphone with the new email address, generate the $25 referral coupon from your existing cricket amount. (Search eBay for "$25 cricket credit iphone"- the FREE referral link is in the eBay item description here's no need to pay $0.99) REMEMBER sharing, advertising, or PMing referrals is a VIOLATION of SD rules & can result in a BAN

Your referral code expires 30 days from generation- purchase and activate during this time period

STEP 3
IMMEDIATELY after activating your new phone, enter your unique referral code emailed to you in the "Everything's Better with Friends" section of the myCricket app or Cricket online website. After inputting referral code, you will see a 60 day countdown tracker in the "Everything's Better with Friends" on when your $25 credit is credited.

Downgrade immediately your plan to the $30 plan. You will get the full $30 prorated credit if you downgrade within the first day of activation.

STEP 4
After 2 months on cricket plan, both your new and old accounts are credited each with the $25 referral. 2-3 days before your third month is charged on your new account, call cricket customer service to merge your new account with your old account ensuring your $25 credit from the new account is transferred/ merged with your old account and then cancel that additional line that was merged

NEW
Cricket Customers

STEP 1
If you have a non-AT&T number, you can port into Cricket. If you have an AT&T number, you can purchase a non-AT&T number from eBay

STEP 2
After purchasing your free phone, immediately secure a $25 referral coupon from the cricket referral program (Search eBay for "$25 cricket credit iphone"- the FREE referral link is in the eBay item description here's no need to pay $0.99) REMEMBER sharing, advertising, or PMing referrals is a VIOLATION of SD rules & can result in a BAN.

Once a referral code is generated, it expires within 30 days.

Change your plan to the $30 plan. You will get the full $30 prorated credit if you downgrade within the first day of activation. You should now have 2 full months of service with the $60 you prepaid and just have to pay $5 more for an extra third month of service. After 6 months on cricket you can request your free cricket phone to be unlocked

RSIM15 Instructions

This is what worked for me:

I activated Cricket service, set up the phone under my Apple ID, and also updated to the latest iOS. All that with Cricket SIM in tray, as per usual. [Did try to power on the phone for the first time with my preferred carrier's SIM (T-mobile) just to test if the phone comes unlocked but no luck there. It's locked.

To work with your carrier of choice, try RSIM plus carrier's SIM in tray. If you get the pop-up menu, code the ICCID as per instructions. I did not get the menu and was unable to change the ICCID that way.

The workaround was to remove the carrier's SIM and inserted Cricket SIM but with RSIM still in the tray. Then go to "Settings" - "Cellular" - "SIM Applications" - "Edit ICCID" and enter the most recent ICCID number (you can find one here: https://geveystore.com/).

After coding is done, remove Cricket's SIM, insert your carrier's SIM (again, with RSIM still in the tray), and you should be able to register on the carrier's network. I think I needed an extra reboot or two and had to enter Apple ID / Password to proceed.

After the phone connects on your desired carrier, be sure to navigate to Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Network to ensure the APN settings for your carrier are entered correctly. For T-Mobile, use info found here: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ple-iphone

Great deal. Looks like limit is 2. I think this could be a great way to take advantage of T-Mobile's upcoming hook up deal. Port to Cricket get some iPhones then go to T-Mobile. Your phones won't get unlocked, but at least you have something that could potentially have high value for trade in in the future (iPhone 12).

So I am looking on ebay and I have to buy a Tmobile or Sprint number to port into Cricket? Someone point me at the right ebay action ? TY Smilie
I've successfully used numbers from this seller twice, but they don't have any boost numbers now. Only AT&T (ineligible). They said they were going to get more boost soon when I asked.

I've purchased this one this time, but haven't received the number yet. Review TBD.

Or if you have an existing line just order the phone Don't put in the sim for the new ported line and just use it on your own existing line. people do this all the time
With an existing account, you still need a new number to port in, correct?

Then, is there an activation fee, even if you do not put the sim into the phone?

I understand that the $60 would stay in the account.

Phone does not have T-Mo's latest and important bands, 66 and 71.

Hopefully the iPhone 7 will have the same trade in value that an iPhone 8 might have.

A couple of users think that the iPhone 7 will have the value of a 6s from the last trade ins.

I'm not saying to even use these for T-Mobile. I'm saying that they could potentially have a high trade in value for a different phone with T-Mobile.

Yup. Won't know until it happens, but paying 90 bucks for 2 with the possibility of 200 or maybe even 300 trade in the future is still decent. It might even have some value or Pixel 4a release has deals.

I understand and was tossing it out for potential T-Mo users.

You need to be out of T-Mobile for months to be eligible for port in again.

Sure. If you're a customer just looking for a cheap Cricket phone a $60 iPhone 7 is a good deal. These threads are typically full of people wanting to unlock, of course.
I am a current cricket customer with 4 lines for $100. If I add a line with the $60 plan, wouldn't it mess the other lines?
