I put this 70% iso alcohol in a tiny spray bottle (dollar store has them) and use it in my car. I spray my keys as soon as I enter my car after being in public. Then I have hand sanitizer just for my hands. That combo has worked for me.
davamondtoo bad 91% alcohol is nowhere to be found. 70% is just barely OK.
Don't spray alcohol in air or stay out and open windows for 20-30 mins after sprayed.

All the rubbing alcohol I ever found in stores is 70%.
Korean CDC recommended 60-75% alcohol sanitizers.
Because higher than that alcohol sanitizers disappear too fast before sanitize hands.

You may not work with electronics. The higher concentration, the better, ideally 99%, else 90%+. Example use case, cleaning thermal compound off of a cpu for (re)installing a cooler.
He was talking about using it as a disinfectant, not as a solvent.

Sure, and I was clarifying why some of us here find value in 90% and see it as a positive rather than a negative.

Are folks still making hand sanitizer out of this stuff? Why does this keep selling out if hand sanitizer is readily available most places? Or are they using it for some other purpose?
Maybe people need it to make moltov cocktails for protesting?

70% is more effective against bacteria than 91%. To destroy bacteria biofilms you need water, so the biofilm absorbs it. 91% will dehydrate the bacteria - rendering it dormant until water is reintroduced. Source Med Student

I use it straight as a hand sanitizer from spray bottle.

70% isopropyl alcohol is in stock online for delivery at Walmart now...and has been for most of the day. It has been posted a couple of times in this thread alone. It has been in stock online for delivery at Walmart a number of time in the past few months.

Buy some other stuff that you need anyway and get free shipping at $35. Or, pay the shipping cost and consider it money well spent for all the time it is saving you looking for this.

There is an abundance of sanitizers now, though some brands are questionable. I also see a lot of disinfectant sprays coming back on the shelves ( clorox, lysol, microban, great value, up&up). Wondering what is still driving the demand for isopropyl alcohol 🤔.
