Black Rubber No Dig Landscape Edging - $5 4ft Section, Walmart Clearance YMMV B&M

Found this in the clearance area of my garden center today - normally $10 a 4ft section so half off, but by far the cheapest ive been able to buy any kind of edging like this. Brickseek showing all stores around me with inventory and priced at $5.

I talked with the garden center manager and he gave me a better deal buying by the box. They are in boxes of 6 and he marked them down to $25/box. Not sure how reproducible that is, but i bought 5 boxes.

Good deal. Unfortunately they are out at my local store. I might have to go get some at one a little further away tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. I was checking something similar at Home Depot last fall, hoping they would have went on clearance, but never did.

There was one left in my local store two days ago. Lots of the metal edging for $2 a section and landscape fabric for $5 a roll. Redid my whole yard yesterday.

Curious how everyone here is balancing out "this is a great deal, I could use this" vs "being out in large crowds (Walmart) in en effort to not get COVID"- genuinely asking - not trolling...for me, this looks great and I'd like to get it, but Walmart seems like one of the worst places in my area to go if you're trying to avoid large crowds

Because a good lot of us aren't "afraid" of covid. Of course if you're high risk, this doesn't make sense to you, but for us healthy folks, we try to carry on as business as usual because we want to.
I do like the social distancing tho... I hope people keep doing that after this... Some people tend to get way too close

Even at half off this is super expensive vs the normal plastic border I've used in the past. Is this worth it? Never used it before

My thought process is how I approach a lot that I deal with at work - a risk vs reward parity. I'm 36, of a healthy weight with no known underlying conditions - but is the risk of possibly getting COVID worth the reward of saving what in this case would come out to maybe $20? I was just curious to understand how others approached it...maybe I'm just mental.

My thought with COVID is that there are enough unknowns or "not likely, but possible" scenarios that could play out that even as a young, healthy person - I don't know that it's prudent to introduce any unnecessary risk given I have a family. I've also seen enough troubling stories of people that have gotten COVID but still have ongoing issues after, which could last the rest of their lives - which also doesn't sound like an awesome situation. Anyway - not saying my opinion on the matter is the gold standard, was just curious to hear if others wrestle with the same thought process

The stores are not heavily crowded. If at times there are more people coming in, the stores are only letting limited number of people in. Families are taking caution too by not going with entire family. Exercise caution and you will be fine.
