One of the best docks... Unfortunately, it does not have an HDMI port. That is only sucky part of it.
not ideal but seems easy enough to use an adapter?

Does anyone know what's the max power output for this dock? the site says Max Power Consumption 85W, so does that mean it supports 85W power delivery?

I'm planning to use this dock to connect a Blade Stealth GTX and MBP. The razer needs 100W power delivery.

CalDigit's site says 87W power delivery.

Bummer, this one has 87W PD.

Anyone have any recommendations or found one they really like that has 96W for the 2019 16" MBP? I have a dual monitor setup.

This dock has been tested and works with the 16" MacBook Pro.

But you need to do a firmware update to get that. When you get it, do the update (firmware updates can ONLY be done on a Mac).

I had a HP Elite/ZBook THUNDERBOLT 3 DOCK left over from my last job. But I can not make it work for my macbook or my lenovo notebook. Just google the bazillon update but no nothing related. If you have experience, would you be able to share? Thanks.
Updates on the HP are (surprise) for Windows. HP support site has the carepaks to install, it's a bunch of them. Partly there's a bunch due to the speakerphone on them.

I use this on a 16'' MPB without issue. I have it speced to i9 + 64G. I run Docker and do a lot of backend and frontend development on it, so draw from ram and processor tend to be pretty high. It tends to stay at 99/100%. I have seen where it drained to 90% at idle and then charged to 100% one time but I'm thinking that may be Mac trying to do some battery life preservation thing since I tend to leave it plugged in 24/7. At least I'm hoping... I had same concern going from 96 -> 87 but I wouldn't let that worry you.

Adding my voice to the list of owners of this dock.
Works great. I'm moving to be a Mac shop at home, use it with my work Macbook and currently have it connected to an old BenQ 1080p console gaming monitor (RL2455).

Yes - that is what I am doing. One of my monitor takes only HDMI. One I connected through display port. For me, i got it free from my employer. Love it though.

I will point out, this looks like it does not include the TB cable. Looks like that's part of the "kit" configuration @ $250. I could be wrong though but keep in mind you may need a good TB cable for this to work.

Great for Mac users, but their Windows Support is lacking. I had a fun ol' time finding the correct ASMEDIA USB 3.1 drivers for this (You can't just download them from ASMedia). The Generic Microsoft ones sort of work, but sometimes crash. Also Firmware updates are ONLY issued for Macintosh. I have several of these, lucky we have a Mac Mini is the office which I used for a firmware update on all of or units.

If I had to do it again, I'd buy a OWC, or an HP one (I have one of the HP units, and it's rock solid once you install it's bazillon updates).
The inability to upgrade firmware from Windows or even 2yo versions of Mac OS is pretty unfortunate.

I need a docking station for a Dell Inspiron i5491-5534SLV 2-in-1 14" Notebook. Should I stick with a Dell dock or go with this?
