Here is a video I found of the hoverboard.

Huge BTTF fanboy, but $80+ still seems steep for this. My jump point will likely be $60ish...which means I probably won't be adding it to my collection. Frown

Without the hoverboard I think it's a little over $40 at Target, that's who I went with.

Yeah, I've been going back and forth with it precisely because of that. Reminded me of this classic set by Dana Carvey (toys r us bit) after zooming in to get a closer look at the hover board and noticing it's a bent piece of pink plastic (trying to rationalize the purchase for myself). I think I will have to regrettably pass. It's so enticing though (I'm both the 100 yr old and the parent at the same time):

I don't know the size but according the Back to the Future store it only weighs a 1/2 ounce so it's not going to be very big. It's not longer than the top of a DVD case since it's attached to the packaging.

Also this deal isn't great. The Target circle deal gets you both the 4K set without hoverboard and the Blu-Ray set with hoverboard for $65. You can buy both to keep the 4K set, take the hoverboard out of the blu-ray set, and sell the blu-rays to make the total cost even less.

Just a heads up. The BOGO 50% Target deal ended yesterday, and Target's pre-order of the regular Blu-ray version with the hoverboard sold out a couple days ago.

If anyone is going back and forth on the hoverboard collectible, there is always the option of getting the upcoming NECA figure which includes one:

How cool would it be if you could plug that Marty McFly into the magnetic hoverboard lol.

I was a young kid when these movies first came out. I even remember having an entire enrichment course based on the BTTF part II (the whole futuristic thing). I bought this at the...25th anniversary when it came with a Delorean matchbox car? Anyway, I watched them all again and thought... Is it really worth all these anniversary editions and re-dips? Like they're fun but not like...that great? Certainly iconic moments and part of cultural consciousness. But I think for me it's nostalgia rather than a truly great set of movies? Or maybe I'm missing smthg. Just curious what everyone else thinks/loves.

Interesting. When their pre-order went live the first time on July 27, it was $69.98.
