Who in their right mind thinks this little mono printer is worth $350 regularly.

Aside from automatic duplex printing it seems to be basic, in fact I don't even know why it has a keypad if it doesn't have scan/copy functions.

I have a Samsung M2885FW now (M2885FW Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer with Scan/Copy/Fax), and it's been a terrible machine (about 2 years old). Aside from ongoing compatibility issues with my Mac, I've had to replace the imaging unit, and now the scanner is acting up. All of this for a light-duty home office. I replaced a Brother multifunction laser printer with it that was 5 years old (and was working fine) and as soon as my ink runs out, I'm donating it. Just my $0.02. Good luck.

Makes sense. I can't print for free at work anymore. I guess that was pretty widespread then, huh? LOL

But now I need a printer for my son who is starting school. Maybe I'll risk going into the office to print stuff. Might be worth the risk of getting infected...

I would highly recommend NOT buying any Samsung Printers. After HP took them over, it seems they are essentially trying to get rid of the brand. No updates in a while and the printer I have (Samsung Xpress M2835DW) has been very finicky from the start before HP took over. The support sucks for these as well. My Officedepot, Staples, and Bestbuy stopped carrying the majority of them. I have a lot of experience with printers and out of everything I have ever owned inkjet (Epson Ecotank, HP Envy, Lexmark Genesis) and laser (Brother Color, Canon Mono and Color machines, HP color and mono machines, and Ricoh color machines) the HP LaserJet and Canon Imageclass lines are the best machines.
