Own these, they're what you think they are: Good but nothing special. This price is reasonable.

That being said, a few years ago after misplacing/losing/breaking too many nice drivers, I just gave up and now walk into Harbor Freight. They're "worse" but when you are lazy and want to use a slotted driver to pry something and snap it, you are going to get mad at the $7 tool and not at the $1.79 HF one. I'm not saying HF are superior, they're actually inferior, but what I am saying that with basic/common screwdrivers sometimes quantity does beat quality, but it is entirely dependent on individual circumstances (and how lazy you are).

I'd prefer to own 4x "meh" 1x3 Philips than a single really nice one. Because I'm going to lose and or destroy that nice one anyway, might have well lean into it.

Wera is going to be leaps and bounds better than most box store stuff including Milwaukee and Husky.

That said, you are going to pay 3x as much for them.

For the average user, the regular stuff will do just fine. My rule of thumb, buy cheap the first time and if you use it enough to wear it our/break it, go ahead and upgrade to higher end stuff.

The husky diamond tip 6 pc set is also on sale for $12.97. I went back and forth in the aisle for a bit on which one to get, ultimately liked the handle on the Milwaukee a little better so I bought these.
This is the first thing on my mind as well. The husky set looks well made as well. Can anyone with actual experience comment on the quality? Thanks.

Description here on SD is correct, but the Home Depot product photo which shows all the sizes is incorrect. It shows (3) #2's. If you don't dig in and read the details it could be misleading.

Generally I can agree with that but as far as screwdrivers go, you really got to use them a bit to decide for yourself. For example you can get by with the $3 Harbor Freight set but your hands will cramp after using it too much.

Honestly, for something in this price range that isn't American or German made, I'd opt for the Doyle or Quinn lines from Harbor Freight but each set of hands are different.

Slick deals is killing me. I have probably 4 or 5 sets of screwdrivers, yet I want these.

I've had these for a few years and are tough as nails. They have great grip on fasteners and handles are comfortable with great torque

I have the husky set. Some of the points on the slotted are bent. Doesn't seem to be the best quality and the handles are a little skinny.. I use the Dewalt ones more often.

I'm sure these screwdrivers are fine, but I can't help but feel like they're not anything special and just marked up with the Milwaukee name. Power tools, no doubt the name means something, but for regular hand tools, I bet these are the same as any mid priced screwdriver.

This Milwaukee set comes with one #1 and two #2 Phillips head drivers. The Husky diamond tip set comes with #0, #1 and #2 Phillips head drivers. Since I seem to be looking for a #2 driver 95% of the time, I went with the Milwaukee set. Thanks OP.
Menards has a cheapo PH2 and whatever the most popular flathead is (1/4 iirc). They have a rubber grip so they don't feel super cheap. Sometimes they'll be on sale for 50 cents. Last time I bought a dozen total. Havent had to look for a screwdriver since.

I see the Menards name on SD often enough that I wish I lived near one. I would certainly rather use a 50 cent screwdriver that I can find right away vs. spending 5 minutes trying to figure out where I left my expensive diamond magnetic mega grip screwdriver. But, if they were both in the drawer where they should be.... But I only have myself to blame. Seems that every time I spend 4 hours on what should have taken 15 minutes, the last thing I want to do is put tools away.
