You can't stream after the 1gig. It's about 56 kps. Just enough to check your mail in a pinch. Not really fast enough for useful browsing. BTW remember when 56k was considered fast internet?
hah, good memories playing Desert Combat Mod on my Actiontec External USB 56K Modem. The Modem is also compatible with the V.90 and K56Flex over 20yrs ago. I was an admin with (CSM), Crack Smoking Monkeys!

Too bad it is CDMA only

Also, with Sprint being acquired by T-mobile how it is gonna work? Will we get Tmobile network as well?

Not even that based on my experience a couple of month ago. This "unlimited 2g speed" seems to be just a paper gimmick. I'm in an area with pretty good Sprint coverage.

Worst Customer Service . Very Very bad experience with Tello . They keep on unnecessarily charging the card , on top of that Customer Service talks rude even though you are not at fault(on top of that they will advice you , you are at fault). Even it comes for free ,i'm never gonna go back to Tello ..

I'm on Tello for last few months and I'm really happy. Pls check coverage before your port in. Sometimes Amazon sells the SIM cards (sprint) for 99c

Tell also has referral program " Introduce a friend to Tello & our awesome phone plans and you both win $10 Tello Dollars." so your 3 months can go beyond that using referral $

Not sure how it works for single line as the price is $5
Agreed that a single $5 charge will not work, but if you were to buy a phone with the plan then it will work.

Sorry that's not fun.

Though, for me, they have been far and away the best customer service I've had on a cell carrier. I've tried many MVNOs, from visible, mint, cricket, at&t prepaid, and several under TracFone. Tello was heads and shoulders above others in terms of response time and helpfulness. Now, if only they didn't have the limited sprint-native network and dumb sprint sim card setup (model numbers, etc).

That had been my experience as well. Excellent customer support.

I think Tello uses Sprint. But now that sprint has merged with tmobile, what's going to happen?

That sim card issue was lame.

I bought the sim kit at Amazon for my pixel 3a XL, it works for like 2 hours, I got about a 100 megabits down, everything was great. Then all of a sudden either the phone rejected it or they rejected it or something; I originally thought it was a deadzone at work. Nothing would work, and since the pixel has esim capability, none of the Sprint stores had the right SIM card model either. I eventually had to pay the the 10 bucks to tello to send me the exact model number of SIM card I needed; they were nice enough to discount the faster shipping, but oof it was a fiasco

Always for new customers.
The regular price $10 monthly for 1GB LTE data is expensive in 2020.
