Hey hey hey, Monkeybiz! Fancy seeing you here in a phone thread. Smilie I'm looking for some good promoz! lol

Tello announced this policy change last year that you had to have an "order" every 90 days rather than just using the service at least once every 90 days, but they didn't implement it, until, apparently now, if they indeed go through with it as per the email.
hey, yeah I'm a little rusty at it. You may be right, my memory isn't that great. Essentially requiring a plan would kill pay as you go so I'm not sure. I loaded up one line with referrals so I hope I keep at least one Paygo with more frequent use. Good to see the old crowd Peace

Happens overnight in my experience (3 ports).
My port failed unfortunately. Trying to leave Freedompop and it's hideous with no support, and it looks like problems porting out of it. Hopefully Tello could help figure out what's wrong.

You can also add to your PAYGO balance, which counts as an order, but with no plan, you would need to do that every 3 months based on the new policy. It's not worth doing that for all my lines, but I'll have to think about what to do on my main line, which is on Tello (PAYGO only, no plan).

I still remember when you used to beat everyone to the punch on the promos. lol

Where do you think I got my idea for the avatar?!

gotcha, that makes sense. Hope I get a referral credit every three months. I haven't had a payment method on file all these years lol.

Interesting. FreedomPop makes port details available right in your account... Anyway the best way to get in touch with FreedomPop is via Twitter DM. I have my dad on FP and actually resolved an issue via Twitter this week (48hr response).

I have some UNused sprint sim cards but how can I know if it will work BEFORE signing up?
If you go to Tellos bring your own device page, they'll tell you the six card type that works for your phone. Ting used to have a useful help page that listed sim card types for each phone model but I can't find that page any more.

Seem like Tello start enforcing their 90 days no purchase policy for 'Pay As You Go' account holders.
I've just received an email that says my account will be deactivated if i don't buy anything within next 7 days. Currently i have $16 dollars balance but i didn't recharge my account for at least 4 months.

p.s. I've Tello since 2016 and it was ok until now. Seem like Tmobile / Sprint merger got em by the b..ls.
Tello is trying to increase their profit per line so that they can negotiate a deal to be acquired by another company. Ting Mobile has a very high profit per line due to their super expensive plans when you compare price per minute and price per unit data with others. DISH just recently acquired all of Ting Mobile's customers that used Sprint network.

And most of their users don't seem to be very happy about it since they recently found out Dish customer service department will be taking over. The main reason Ting got away for charging those high prices and that ludicrous $6 per line fee (which sounded like postpaid fee) was due to their customer service, now that's out of the window and the uncertainty in regards to continue providing service using Verizon's network they will be forced to lower prices to attract other customers

This is what TracFone should be selling 3 month plans for.. get rid of per minute plans.. it's time for minute and locked data limited bucket plans to go...

Great deal - and the fact that this is actually an unlimited data plan because you're throttled after 1GB, not shut off, makes it even better.

Good luck to them, i used to spend at least $50+ per year now they will lose one of their long time customer and get $0 instead. I'm porting out to Red Pocket on next week.

Much better than a hard cap since I'd still be able to get emails, messages, directions, etc. 🤷 ♂️
