Wasn't the 5.1.4 on sale recently for $300? The only difference is the two rear speakers have secondary upward facing speakers. Waiting for that to be on special again.
Adding it's $10 more at Best buy. If you don't have a Sam's membership.

No, the sound quality of their sound bars is typically good for some strange reason. Only issue is quality control. It varies with model to model so you have to dig through reviews but some have audio lag issues and some may have connectivity issues with the rear speakers/sub, and some may have HDMI CEC issues. It's a mixed bag.

How do these compare to the 5.1 non Atmos version? I have those and don't know if it's worth the upgrade

you would love atmos firing. though the new 7.1 is even better which has rear speaker upward firing.

How do you connect these to both the TV and a cable box? One HDMI one optical?

Are the rear speakers wired or wireless? Are they wall mountable? I couldn't find specs on that.

Not sure I understand the question...

Cable box would go into this system and the system would be connected to the TV.

We watch Disney+ and Netflix through the TV (or Xbox for HBO max). Does the TV feed it's sound input back to the sound bar?

I love Vizio TVs for everything except their sound quality... that being said, I feel like buying their branded speakers doesn't make sense... idk could just be me

Tv connects via optical cable to the sound bar

ARC would be preferable though in most cases. Potentially better audio (depending on how new his or her TV is) and plus you'll probably be able to use the TV remote to control it (HDMI CEC).
