good and decent watch.... 90% reliable in keeping time. when used as a daily driver, it's never more than 10 to 20 seconds off each week. it's like a little cousin to my Seiko Monster(orange)

my Amazon order history shows that I bought the blue version for $97.59 on November 17, 2019. It was a lightning deal that day. (sold and shipped directly from Amazon.com.

Is this better than the rolex that no AD wants to sell to the average Joe?

Yes, apparently the watch industry standard distinguishes between "Water Resistant" and "Dive" watches. If you want a serious dive watch to the depth indicated it had better say dive/diver on the face. Water resistant watches use the depth claims to indicate pretty much how splash resistant they are. In either case don't operate crowns, buttons, or pushers until the watch has thoroughly dried.

It's a warranty thing.

It's actually a certification thing. In order to put the 'Diver' designation on your watch, it has to be ISO certified to a specific set of criteria. That certification process is expensive and thus ends up reflecting in the price of the watch. That doesn't mean that a 200m water resist watch can't be equally capable of withstanding water intrusion. Just look at the line of G-Shocks that have proven themselves over the years. None of them will indicate "Divers watch", but you know they'll easily hit that 200m mark.

Watches like the Orient Triton and Seiko SKX has been certified and thus can show the verbiage on its dial. Some people find that important, others not so much.
