Saw that this deal popped up on Home Depot's website again. Went down to local Home Depot and they had these on an end cap away from the regular EGO section of stuff. Kind of hidden away. I know it can be YMMV depending on your zip code as well, I was using 75065.

This is a considerably good deal since both tools by themselves are usually around $200 a piece. Plus the 2.5 battery it comes with is on sale at Home Depot for $99 so for another $100 you get two tools. Overall I think it's worth jumping on if you are in the EGO environment.

Edit - I just opened my box and it shows the battery is from Feb 2020 so definitely brand new from this year. They aren't the new cool fuel cell batteries though that show you levels, just the standard battery that shows the green light.

Couldn't get it to work. Put in TX zip code and it showed 199. When checked out, it's back to 279.

Wow dude, great find. Thanks to those who advised the zip code change. Fingers crossed it ships, don't see why it wouldn't but since someone mentioned it, wondering if that actually happens?

Is the carbon fiber one worth the extra money?
I have the carbon fiber one simply for the easy load motor head. Cut about 16 ft and string it through the head. Press the button and it winds up in less than 30 seconds. It makes manually winding this head seem like an extra step and it saves so much time. Worth it IMO.

Good deal. Best decision I made was going ego. No more gas, oils, fumes and loud equipment. Enjoy!!

I just bought the the trimmer by itself for 170. I'm debating on returning it and getting this deal. But I don't think I'll even use it. Is it worth paying an extra to get this blower? Obviously it's a great deal, but I don't want to spend more money on things I won't use. Don't think it's worth the time to sell it either.

I have a small yard. Those of you who use leaf blowers, are they extremely handy? Or should I continue to use my rake for the physical activity on my small yard and pocket the savings?

Man even on sale, these prices seem expensive to me. I bought used:

21" self propelled mower, trimmer, 7.5aH battery + rapid charger for $300

Backpack blower w/5.0aH battery + charger for $150

All still under warranty.

I almost bought the snowblower with 5.0aH battery + rapid charger for $275, but passed because the 2 stage is coming out in Sept.

That's what I was wondering. I can't find any reviews except the ones on their website.

NVM they want $99 for shipping. LOL
