Wish I could find a deal on the regular version without the recycling separator. Great product though worth the price.

A small trash can for $159? It is not even sensor triggered.

i've always been surprised at how much garbage cans cost. they're pretty much plastic or metal bins with a hinged lid. it kind of feels like you're just throwing money away into the trash.

Hmm not sure. I'd check their website to see if it allows you. If not, bed bath and beyond always offers 20% off any item. Works on the simplehuman

Same here, I'm about to go "rustic chic" and get some used 55 gallon drum and use that.

I have this trash can in our kitchen. I like it a lot. Yes, its expensive. Yes, trash cans shouldn't cost a lot. I've had it for a few years and it still looks great. The foot pedal works well, lifts the lid holds it and has it gradually close. I have bought several cheap trash cans that just look awful less than a year or have the foot pedal or sensor break. I was a bit concerned with the trash capacity with the recycling divider. The trash and recycling are sized so you can easily carry both out at the same time. The liner dispenser in the trash can is nice as well.

Have the old version of this. Works great after numerous years. I think there should just be one cavity though as two leaves too little space for either.

If you want one of these and don't need to hurry because you're using a shopping bag hanging from a kitchen cabinet handle, wait until there's a corporate-sponsored sale. That will knock 20% off anywhere, including Bed Bath & Beyond, where you can stack their coupon. I got mine in January 2019 for $128 that way. and the build quality and appearance are enough better that you can (kind of) justify the price. And I really wanted something with two bins so I could split trash from recycling at the van rather than having a plastic can and a box or something similar.
