I've been looking for a nice set of hiking / backpacking closed toe sandals which are water resistant and breathable for the past month or so. This model is highly rated and any other vendor has it for around $100. This is a closeout sale in Sierra has more items on sale as well. Free Shipping with $89+ purchase.

I ordered right when they went on clearance. Can't wait to get them. Great reviews.

Hmm, I only see one size, 9.5. I need 13's.

They do not look much like sandals. Might as well just wear shoes.

Dang that sucks! Oh well gonna give them a good test and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up, as water resistance was a major deciding factor for me in this purchase. 🤦
You do see the holes in them right?

That's my beef as well.

If I'm hiking in water, I like the closed-toe aspect (vs regular hiking sandals), but for a lot of hiking these pick up pebbles — and hold them — much more than regular sandals. It's a tough call, but I personally would rather wear hiking shoes and carry some sandals for later. I've always felt like Keen tries to be everything to everyone and falls short...but YMMV based on local terrain.

(I did the West Fork of Oak Creek near Sedona/Flagstaff in Tevas several years ago, no problem. I'm going to Zion this fall and plan to do The Narrows in Altra Lone Peak 4, with some thin water shoes as a backup. Most of my regular hikes in AL are pretty dry.)

I'm always open to change my mind...but after a couple pairs of Keens they felt like a bad compromise.

Just because there are holes in the shoe doesn't make it water resistant..
