Saw this on my Green card, add by Feb 5, 2021. Not a huge amount, but if you're spending it already on your AMEX, might as well get a little bonus on top of it.

DETAILS
Get 1,500 Membership Rewards® points by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $2,500+ in one or more eligible transactions. Once you add the offer to your eligible card, you will have 90 days to spend $2,500 or more, up to 3 times during the offer term. See terms for exclusions.

OFFER TERMS
ENROLLMENT/ELIGIBLE CARDS: Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Once you save the offer to your eligible Card, you will have 90 days to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards that are enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program at the time of purchase are eligible. American Express Corporate Cards, Prepaid card products and Cards issued outside the United States are not eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. After you enroll an eligible Card, you will not be able to enroll a second eligible Card that you may have. Your enrollment does not extend to any other Cards that may be linked to the same Membership Rewards program account (such as Additional Cards). Offer is non-transferable. ELIGIBLE PURCHASES: An "eligible purchase" means a purchase made with your enrolled Card within 90 days upon saving the offer to your Card in accordance with these terms. Each time you make one or more eligible transactions totaling at least $2,500+, you will receive 1,500 additional Membership Rewards® points, up to 3 times. Cash advances, balance transfers, other fees and charges such as interest, annual fees and foreign currency conversion fees are not eligible transactions and do not qualify for this offer. You may not receive the additional Membership Rewards points if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as eligible for the offer. For example, you may not receive the additional points if (a) the Merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the Merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Note that we may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from Merchant until all items from your eligible purchase have been provided/shipped by Merchant. We may not credit additional points to, or we may take away additional points that have been credited to, your program account if the qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. EARNING POINTS/ADDITIONAL TERMS: The enrolled Card account must be active, not be past due, canceled or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the additional Membership Rewards points. Any additional points you receive through this offer are in addition to the points you would normally receive for purchases charged to your Card, but the number of additional points you receive will be based on the purchase price after any credit or other discount is applied. When we calculate the additional points benefit for Amex EveryDay® Card products, points awarded under this offer will not be included. Additional points will be credited to your Membership Rewards program account within 90 days after the offer end date, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Terms and conditions for the Membership Rewards program apply. Visit membershiprewards.com/terms for more information. Participating partners and available rewards are subject to change without notice. The value of Membership Rewards points varies according to how you choose to use them. To learn more, go to www.membershiprewards.com/pointsinfo. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. Bonus ID: B6EU POID: K0QY:0001

Yep. If using other cards where you get 2% back, $3000 of spending would yield $60 cash which would be easier to use.

On my MR card, but mine was to get 2500 points, not 1500!

(Funny thing is that every time I call AMEX with an issue they always see I have this card and they alllllllllllllllways offer to upgrade the card, to one that garners cash back, besides the fact that I already have a standard cash back card already under the same account. And the reason is that every so often you get these offers that only provide MR points, not cash back.)

I guess, depending on the type of purchase you are doing it is either doubling the cash back value or giving you just an extra 33% or so.

There are only 4 categories of point value: $0.005/pt, $0.007/pt, $0.085/pt and $0.010/pt. Depends on the merchant. AMEX Prepaid cards are $0.005. Delta, Hilton, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Sams Club, Target are $0.007/pt. Macys and others are $0.085. Most restaurants and clothing stores (non-department) are $0.01. I'd say the best deal among everything is Home Depot at $0.01/point.

I'll just assume that people will use this deal on things that will only net them 1x points per dollar because I don't know why someone would go out of their way to get the EveryDay MR card for groceries since the Cash Back card is regularly 3%, or currently 5% with the current offer.

$7500 spending (non-grocery) = 7500 points without bonus
For 1500 point bonus = 4500 points
For 2500 point bonus = 7500 points

For the Home Depot fans out there...
7500 points = $75 GC, or 1%.
4500 bonus points = $45 GC (although denominations are in 25), or 0.6%
7500 bonus points = $75 GC, or 1%

So you are essentially getting max, 2% "cash back" at wherever you choose to spend $7500, assuming no fees (generally paying taxes or HOA fees, among other things, incurs a heavy fee sometimes. My HOA is 2.95% fee for credit cards).

If you choose Amazon as your cash out location, be it as a GC or by connecting your account to redeem points, you are getting 1.4% "cash back" on $7500 of spending.

I mean it is a GOOD deal if this is your only credit card, of course, I'm giving the post a +1 vote. Free bonus! But if you have a plethora of other cards? Ehhh...for $7500 of spending where you only get 1x points from AMEX MR, you might as well use another card.

Citi DoubleCash = 2% all the time, CASH back not gift cards
BOA Card = 3% on category up to $2500 - online purchases is best option, and Walmart Pay qualifies as "online"
AMEX Cash card = 3% on groceries
etc. etc. etc.

I'll add the offer, doubt I'll use it.

As far as MR points offers go, I'd say the only valuable ones are where the points per dollar spent are MUCH higher than 1pt/dollar spent. The Amazon offer from earlier this year was spend $75 and get 1500 points. That is 20 points per dollar spent!

$75 = 75 points, or essentially $0.75 to Home Depot (lol)
1500 bonus points = $15.00 to Home Depot

Spend $75, get $15.75, or 21% cash back!

If you were to scale this up at this rate (completely never going to happen in real life), $7500 spent would get you 150,000 points...haha!
