Patagonia is a notoriously terrible brand and they have a terrible warranty. I'd stay away from their stuff...
definitely overpriced. i assume their customer service is as good as anker's and similar brands where items are overpriced to make up for lifetime warranty and "good customer service".

Realistically this is a sale on the name brand, because the articles of clothing are now priced right where they should be. Don't get me wrong Patagonia makes solid clothing, but a tshirt on sale for $22? and shorts on sale for $54.99? At the end of the day its all still cotton, wool, and polyester. No way I would pay $45 and $75 respectively for tshirt and shorts at regular price

Totally opposite experience. Bought a used jacket that had a tear in the armpit. Sent it to them, they fixed it, fixed another small hole I didn't see originally, and cleaned it up for me. Mentioned they will do this service for as long as the jacket lasts

Was about to pull the trigger on the Men's Better Sweater Shirt Fleece Jacket (pretty slick, dressier looking Patagonia shirt) and found it at an even better deal at Dick's Sporting Goods.

Also, I noticed REI is price matching this sale on some Patty items. I found the same shirt jacket on REI with less colors discounted for the same price. I have a Patagonia store in town and they're almost as generous with their return policy as REI, but long story short, Google the product before you decide to purchase straight from Patagonia to make sure you're getting a good price.
Final price down to $79. Nice find at Dicks just ordered!!

Really? I've had amazing results with their customer service. I have a down sweater that was loosing down. I was going to throw it away but a friend told me to contact them. I mentioned it on a FB review on the jacket and they contacted me and gave me full credit for the jacket.
I had the same positive experience with Mountain Hardwear. Products are definitely overpriced but given the customer service some items are worth the investment

Yeah, the normal everyday stuff from MH are overpriced, things like regular fleece jackets. But I agree their highly technical stuff like their ultralight backpacking items or their climbing/mountaineering stuff are worth their high price.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with the brand and their customer service. I've had a zipper break and they've repaired it and even had a drawstring on the inside of a jacket and they repaired that too.

So many people whining about this brand. Don't like it. Don't buy. Personally I will continue to support company who is conscious about sustainability like Patagonia. Their customer service is second to none. I had a store associate handed me a new down jacket right on the spot because my old one seams came off.

To add to this, do they jack up all prices on their items so that 50% actually ends up being normal sale price or higher? A.K.A the Target sale model.

Doesn't seem like it. I always actually looking at the 249 isthmus parka last year. Same price at retail. But discounted now. Too bad not in the color I wanted. Some of these clothes are hardly a deal though, unless you're in the market for a new rain/snow.

the postcard says "up to 50% off" so probably good to manage everyones expectations for those that think all will be 50% off.
i want 100% off

That's not been my experience. While a down jacket I had wore out sooner than I thought it should. They replaced it for free two years after I bought it, and indicated if the new jacket lasted two years, they'd replace it for free too. Excellent warranty.
