I always wear the gloves when I do shopping. It will be more safe
I see people in grocery stores with gloves touch all the surfaces and grocery items. Whats the point of wearing gloves and touching vegetables with those gloves when the virus on vegetables simply wont go away with water washing..

The point is if you are wearing gloves, that means if you touch something with the virus on it, you don't come into contact with it.

Are people still super worried about touching the virus particles with their hands? In the past month or so, I've only seen one or two people wearing gloves whilst out in the wild
I work in IT. I am not touching your nasty ass desk without at least 1 barrier between myself and your equipment. I am still washing my hands after I am done too. It's not that I am worried about the virus, it's that you lot are nasty and don't know how to keep your work areas clean.

I think their point is if you touch something with the virus and then touch vegetables that you're going to eat.

well it's not necessarily vegetables. what about touching anything at all in the store? Vegetables and fruit are more difficult cause just rinsing them won't get rid of it, but you can wait a few days to eat them and the virus will die on its own. But everything else, you're better off wearing gloves. For example, a cereal box, who knows who has touched it before you. With gloves, you never come into contact with it, and you can disinfect it when you get home.

It's like hoarding TP - it gives a (false) sense of control. Talk to your Dr and ask them their glove protocol. Dr's don't just put gloves on in the AM and remove them for lunch and put a second pair on - gloves are only used in specific situations with limited wear time. I'll guarantee you that basically zero % of people that wear gloves in stores are doing so in a manner that actually inhibits disease transmission.

But it's like that ALL the time.

Last week I orderd 1 pack of this, but walmart has sent me 1 carton box with 9 packs😂😂
Walmart online shopping is a disaster and the funny thing; they are competing with Amazon...ordered liquid soap and $3,99 each - they sent 3 FedEx shipments and took them about a week until I receive Next Day Delivery Items from Walmart Smilie
( and FedEx is another disaster - USPS works 100X better than Fedex )

Yes folks go around the grocery store wearing gloves and touch everything. Remember, this virus does not enter through skin, it enters through eyes and nose. If you touch your face with gloves it is just the same as touching with your bare hands. The virus will be on the glove as well. If you wear gloves it may give you the false sense of security that your hands are safe. Better carry a small container of hand sanitizer and sanitize your hands occasionally rather than wear gloves. I also have gloves at home, but I use them when I spray chemicals to disinfect surfaces, then they are there to prevent skin irritation.

I use gloves on the weekends when I grill/bbq use them when I apply rubs or marinade meats but I prefer nitrile gloves the only problem is a box of nitrile gloves used to be around $9 now the same gloves from same vendor on Amazon are $22+ so this might be a temporary solution for now.

While this is correct, if you would like to prevent or help avoid transmitting virus particles from public surfaces that you touch to your private ones this is where gloves are very useful. IE - If you know your car is currently virus-free and rather than cleaning it all the time would like to keep it that way instead (and also help avoiding transferring things from your car onto other private surfaces later too), use gloves entirely while in a store or other public spot that you go around touching multiple things that other people could have touched/breathed-on and then throw them out as soon as you leave in an outside trash before you touch your car. This is the way I've been handling them, and while hand sanitizer may still work, in the long run it's worse for your skin and still doesn't guarantee killing 100% (where if you use your gloves and dispose of them properly in the right order of things, you will always have a barrier protecting your hands from the outside world, this is better). Just my 2 cents.
