I am waiting on the Vizio P-Series Quantum X 85" to see how it compares to oled. I am going big this time,do not want to settle for less than an LG CX 77" oled but want to check this tv out first to see how it stands up. MSRP $2999
Look up Linus tech tips review on the 2020 p quantum X. It looks like shit and the halos are horrible. I jumped on the 77 oled shortly after the Vizio was released last week in 75" size.

Vizio OLEDs won't have G-Sync and Freesync right? Just regular VRR through HDMI 2.1? Fine for the upcoming consoles but not PC gaming.

What does everyone think the 77 CX will be going for come black Friday? I have a 65 B8 I'm hoping to sell to get a 77 CX.

Twas the B model. BUT if you do a fair bit of research (I did a TON before I pulled the trigger) the difference between the B and C models are nominal. Research suggests that perhaps the C just isn't worth the jump in price. But I'm beyond happy that I snagged up the deal.

To be fair, Linus did mention that the unit they received was pre-production, and they believed firmware updates could fix some of the issues they saw.

Just to point out they had the TV set on vivid and it was a pre-production non calibrated unit. Rtings has the TV and i'll look forward to their review vs LTT

I'm in the same boat right now. looked at prices all over for CX . C9 B9 etc. doesn't seem like much difference. Perhaps, it's because of supply being short on something. PQX 2020 was my target, but after the recent review. Re-mulling my options for future proof tv. Any suggestions are welcome. BTW - CX 77 inch via Game Liquidations thru New-Egg is $3799

I wouldn't hold my breath. BB has most of the current models available and Walmart is just starting to get inventory. They currently have one 2020 model but place holders for most. I haven't seen anything on Costco or Sams yet not even place holders
Does Costco usually have placeholders? I have never seen them (but I haven't been a Costco member for that long)

Yes, I know they're not available yet

Vizio OLEDs will not be available in this size

I was screening CX initially but immediately astonished with the beauty of GX on the wall with 1" flat contact once I saw both of them in person. Their price difference is half a grand from the quote I received.

You don't NEED G-Sync or freesync to play games. You don't need an OLED TV either. They are very nice things to have to smooth out gameplay on the PC. VRR will be great for the upcoming consoles.
