No.

Before the chi-fi explosion, multi-driver IEM's were the domain of companies that knew how to tune an IEM, and multi-driver IEM's weren't usually dirt cheap like they are now.

As for the good or bad dilemma. I like a harman tune with a tamed pinna gain (google it) from 2-5K. Some people will tell me that it's bad, but it's just not their preference. Unfortunately, finding this out takes quite a bit of buying of IEM's, and that's the problem with online reviews. You need to try it yourself. But I would not start with these westones as they appear to lack any pinna gain over the midrange. It's just very uncommon to find IEM's tuned this way after 2017. If I was starting fresh, I'd go with any of the Etymotic IEM's. Whichever one you can afford. I love mine. I also love the Thieaudio Legacy 3, but I hear there are tuning differences with newer produced sets.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the etymotics are really deep fitting IEM's, and it's not for everyone. It took me a few days to get used to it and switching to a larger 3-flange tip to the feeling to normalize.

Anyone come across the 60's lower than this? So tempted.. I know, 4 bills for buds is nuts, but the W60's are so good!

Does having more drivers actually produce better sound? I keep hearing mixed answers.

These are gen 2's, the W60 gen 2's sound closer to W80's than gen 1's do

it's a really good deal, W60 sounded really nice.I would jump for it, if it's not during pandemic time. LoL, gotta save up.
I would not touch W60 at $999, but at $399 grab it, if you have the funds.

Thanks for your input! Upon looking further, I think i will stick with the b50. It was $270 after tax while w60 will be $440. I listen to pop using my phone at work. Not sure if going to w60 will actually offer benefit in my case, since I dont have dac on me most times

W60 till this day is still one of the best both in sound and comfort. Most consider the W80 a sidegrade. It feels like a lot, but if you use it all the time and never think about upgrading, it's worth it.

Did anyone else think this was some kind of digital pipe at first glance?
