Thanks, needed to update from Office 2007. At work we, UGH, finally moved to Office 365 and it's atrocious when they do 'updates'.

I think we were on 2013 before? Anyway, the updates to Excel slightly changed the positioning on some buttons/tasks and it drove me NUTS for a couple months. It still drives me nuts, I was used to buttons for basically a decade.

I know MS wants to destroy buying software once to use it, but I hope enough home and enterprise users insist on not being 100% dependent on MS online and cloud crap.
Google docs and sheets offer basic function but nowhere near the functionality of ms office.

Think this way. Cooperations that love to save money more than anyone else including apple is still using ms office. Why would that be?
Seems like a good deal

Same price as prior popular post for just Office

Personally have no use for the Norton, but maybe others could sell it to make this sweeter.

note that this is not the annual subscription model of office that MS is pushing "365". I prefer to outright own the software, but you do miss out on perks like cloud storage

edit:
given, there are grey market options for getting Office keys. but for those who want to go legit/legal route, this price is good.

Are you talking about the promotion for new subscribers? I used it a few days ago and it was not consistent then. I had to try 4 times, each with a different email, before a code was sent, and non of those emails had ever been registered with Newegg before.

2019 is a bad version. It messed up heavily with ver 2016. E.g., if you have 2016, it will not upgrade to 2019 but stays in 2016 while telling you it is using the 2019 license. Find 5 people to share a 6-lic 365 is a better buy.

No. I was talking about home office edition for $10. It was there for last year.

Roger that. We've been on 2013 at work forever it seems like, so when I got a chance to Pilot the Office 2019 program at work, I went for it immediately. I use 2016 at home, so I figured it wouldn't be too big of a jump.

The Pilot started on July 17, so my three-week report is, it is solid. Skype is MUCH better, Outlook has some nice touches, some of them brought over from 2016. Excel and PowerPoint, both of which I use a lot, are flawless. I'm having issues with Word, but it's too early to call it out because I don't use it much and it could just be me.

I'm going to get this deal for my house, and ignore the Norton part.

E D I T: This doesn't come with Outlook! I find that very difficult to accept. At least it left my Outlook 2016 on my system.
ALSO: It installed OneDrive, which I very much dislike, without asking. In fact, it never asked for anything. I was able to uninstall OneDrive.
ALSO: I popup flashed by saying something about Skype, but then disappeared. I don't see Skype on my system, though.
So, if you were hoping for Outlook, this doesn't have it. You're paying $80 for Word Excel PowerPoint and OneNote. And OneDrive.

Students and employees in many schools are eligible for $10 office package (word, excel and ppt). Can install two computers.
