Good Luck!

Just be very patient and very assertive as Walgreens has eliminated in-store weekly flyers and its staff is completely unempowered and unknowledgeable regarding this promotion.

I spent nearly 30 minutes today having my purchase escalated to senior store personnel and then the shift leader.

The shift leader got real crappy with me and tried to tell me, even though the ad says limit of 2 per customer, that means I can only buy two gift cards and receive one bonus $10 offer. I assertively and politely explained that this means a limit of two offers per customer i.e. I can buy four Uber (or whatever) gift cards and receive two $10 Walgreens gift card.

The shift lead acted as if she was doing me a big favor by honoring the sale offer...finally. The register would not allow the $10 gift card to be comped so the workaround was to give 10,000 Walgreens points. When I persisted about the second offer that I was entitled, she finally accommodated - while trying to blame me for wanting to take advantage of the ad offer in accordance with its terms...and trying to give me a guilt trip about how she may be in trouble for doing it. Unbelievable.

Anyhow, my end result was to receive $20 in Walgreens points, the equivalent of two $10 gift cards so it worked out for me. But because Walgreens is generally very incompetent in honoring various promotions if its technology is not aligned - to the point of blaming its customers for being its customers - I wanted to alert that this may be a bit of a challenge. Just be very firm and reiterate the ad terms and conditions specific to this promotion.
Yeah, as soon as I saw Walgreens and a promo card I said to myself "Good Luck" ha ha

For sure. This is my first time with one of Walgreens promotions for gift cards. it was worth the trouble in the end because I got a $10 Walgreens credit for buying $30 in Uber gift cards. Meaning I saved 1/3, as compared to most other offers like CVS where $10 credit is given with $50 purchase. But definitely a total crapshow - especially with no printed ad anymore.

Have you confirmed this is available in your market ? This promo is notorious for being selective. Some places like NYC tend to be excluded.

Thanks, but it is available here in Denver. I go off of the weekly ad that is specific to my primary store. if things don't ring up right there, even if validated by the ad, they always push back like crazy.

2x$15 for Domino's and free $10 gc sounds good. Great to save for when they have sales on almonds or something like that.

I can guarantee you the employees at my local Walgreens are so dense they won't even understand if I try to point out the promo to them. It's simply not worth my time.

Promo does not work. It was in my store's ad, but no luck. Have done these promos in the past successfully at walgreens, so this one appears to just not be programmed correctly.

My walgreens refuses to take credit cards to purchase gift cards, I made them call in the manager from in the back and they reluctantly let me do one transaction. Just not worth the hassle...

I buy these every time they have this deal with no problems. Did it this morning, in fact.
I bring the three gift cards up and say $15 on the Domino's cards and $10 on the Walgreens card. I don't even mention that it is a deal. The $10 gets added to the gc, but the cost shows as 0 on the receipt.

You do have to put in your phone number or scan your Walgreens rewards card.

I always pay with a credit card. Only time things have gotten weird is if I buy other stuff in the same transaction and use points to pay. The register doesn't like that and doesn't print a receipt so now I do GCs separate.

Hope this helps!

Last time cashier didnty know how to do it, receipt didnt give Walgreens free

Needed to come back next day to see manager

Manager said come tomorrow and she will tell cashier how to do it

Came next day, cashier said someone came that morning and she thought it was me...

End of story: multiple "come tomorrow" and never got gift card.

Try at your own risk

Cashier said after you swipe credit card it will show/ then said "since you cleady paid, cant void or refund". If anyone from WG reading this - you know what you need to do.

Still have receipt!

I spent about 20 minutes at the store trying to get it to work. Everyone was pleasant however. I showed the cashier the deal in the weekly and then the manager was called over and she saw the ad and they tried to do the deal for me but I lt didn't work with uber. They tried with domino's as a test and it worked. I tried with Amazon because we were thinking cards with flexible amounts must be working (the uber cards were 25 and the domino's was flexible). Along the way I wasn't able to pull up the ad for review and the manager pulled it up herself on her phone on the Walgreens app.

I told her I'll just take the points islf thst was OK and she was happy to and I got 4 x 25 dollar uber cards and 20,000 points on my balance.

This is SOOOOOOOO important b/c the store employees do not know how to ring it up. As you said, you must bring them a Wags gift card and ask that it be included in your order at a value of $10. If you do it, and add your Walgreens phone number for your account, it works perfectly and will absolutely let you pay with CC. The Uber or other gift cards in the offer ring up as they are supposed to and the Wags gift card does exactly as you say, it rings up as ZERO, but has a $10 value.

I have found multiple managers who do not know how to ring this up.
