FYI this is a store that i know is local to Columbus but no idea of where else you can find it in the US. For those of you that care, I had a wonderful team at Best Buy who price matched it as the local big sandy is within the radius of stores that they price match to. Setting mine up now but GL out there!

Can you elaborate as to why the C9 is better than the CX?

C9 48Gbps / CX 40Gbps

C9 12 bit / CX 10 Bit

C9 Full bandwidth on all HDMI ports / CX Full on ONE Hdmi port

C9 is brighter max whites than CX (this is important on OLED which is brightness challenged in general)

C9 has DTS / CX does not

Minor correction, both C9 and CX are 10 bit panels, so the bandwidth for the hdmi ports might not matter.

CX has black frame insertion and a faster processor. There are differences.

Most of your points are referring to HDMI 2.1. The problem is that the C9 will never be able to use the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1, which like you said is 48Gbps. The only way a TV would be able to use the full 48Gbps is if the panel was 12 bits. That's where your second point isn't specific. The C9 is capable of 12 bit if it had a 12 bit panel, but there isn't a TV with a 12 bit panel. Both the C9 and CX sport a 10 bit panel. Both TVs will only use a max of 40Gbps. The extra 8 Gbps is pointless, hence why LG decided to redirect the cost of those 8Gbps to a better processor. Now, your last two points are correct, but the brightness difference is pretty minimal and can actually vary depending on the panel. As for the lack of DTS in the CX, I have a hard time understanding why anyone would own a TV at this price point and not have a dedicated sound system with a receiver that would provide the DTS.
