Within a year, I paid for the alarm kit... everything going forward is gravy. if you don't need a charger/solar panel, definitely costco deal is better. After using it for a month i clearly see the need of a charger(adapter/solar panel) for my use case. I have one adapter and a spare battery, still I hate taking the battery out, swap/charge and put back to cam - that might be just me.

I got these awhile back from hsn with the panels, they run great with the panels as long as you don't mind looking at them on your house. Battery is always charged and never have had to take them down to charge. Recommend getting these with the panels unless you want to hardwire.
