This price beats the price of it (by $10) when it was part of a FP Deal back in May.

You're better off with a Dayton sub-1200 or sub-1500.

I don't think you can say you are better off with the Dayton when Wirecutter didn't compare them directly. I'm not saying you are wrong but unless you can point to a direct comparison then we just don't know. I will say that for the money you are the safest with the Dayton. This Jamo is interesting to me since it is from a better brand.

With speakers, they are definitely better, but a ton of enthusiasts would choose the Dayton as a beginner sub due to the actually levels it's able to reach. Klipsch makes some good, mid priced speakers, but their subs are also atrocious compared to the competition.

Solid deal, $250 on Amazon and highly rated in quite a few places.

I have the smaller version of this (J10) which I grabbed from Frys when they started their deathloop (the coupon phase) where I think I paid $120ish. It's decent for the price (so I suspect the J12 is too) as long as your expectations are realistic. I ended up putting a RSL Speedwoofer 10S in the room that the J10 was in and that provides substantially better performance albeit at 3x the cost.

This is a pretty good deal. This is pretty much only a few $ more than the JAMO J10 that went on sale for last year and it was 2" smaller.

I don't have experience with Jamo subs, but it's a solid brand and this is a slick deal IMO

Maybe, if they were in stock. But they're not.

I own the Jamo J112. It's discontinued with slightly higher specs, but seems fairly comparable to this. I absolutely love it. I literally can't crank it more than 25% without it rattling my house. I am very pleased with Jamo in general, but that's just my experience. The irony is that I've always wanted a decent sub when I was living in an attached condo but would piss off my neighbors. I got married, bought a house, and still can't crank this up without it pissing off my wife or scaring my dogs.
