I can't speak on other other games, but if you plan on playing Monopoly online with friends, forget it. 3/3 matches that I played resulted in the game disconnecting around the 40 minute mark. This was with a wired connection on both ends too. To add insult to injury, there's no saves of any kind for online play, so that match is gone forever.

That being said, if you're planning on playing locally, it's serviceable.
A warning against Monopoly: the game cheats. It purposely gives losing players just the right roll consistently to avoid landing on properties that will end the game. I've had multiple games where one player owns 3 different color monopolies in a row (orange, red, yellow for example) with houses/hotels and somehow all the other players kept landing on railroads, chance/community chest, or the corner spaces. This happened for so many rounds that we played the game for maybe an hour longer than we should have just for someone to eventually land on one of the properties. Unless you want to play with someone online, I suggest you just buy the board game.

Is it everytime or could it be an isolated issue?

How are you wired on the Switch? Neither of mine have an Ethernet connection.

Edit: replied to wrong comment. Meant the one you commented to

Usb adapter to the dock for most folks. The switch is picky about what adapters they'll work with, worth checking to make sure you get a compatible one.

I wish they made this bundle in a digital format. Too bad it's cartridge only.

sort of what mario kart does? worse place does way better with items than what first place gets (only coins lol, maybe a banana or two)

Monopoly doesn't work online with ps4 either. The game is broken. Google it.

Not exactly. The purpose of the rubber banding in Mario Kart is to give losing players the chance to catch up. In Monopoly, at the point where a player has 2 or more fully built monopolies, there's almost no way of catching up. So it just prolongs the game for no reason and makes even the losing players frustrated that it's dragging out for longer than it has to.

I wonder if that's why it was dropping in the first place

Is this an anecdote or actually part of the game's code? I'm genuinely curious as I bought this deal the last time it was on sale.
