They might, but Amazon's showing "In stock on August 14, 2020. FREE Delivery by Tuesday, Aug 18 for Prime members" They don't have it ready to go NOW at that price, why would they drop it to $175.

Yeah, I know, "only buy it from them for the best automatic lowest price." But does anybody actually DO that?

They might not have the 5% CC discount and identical return policy Amazon does, but I've occasionally bought from BH PhotoVideo for years and they're "Just as good as a Xerox", I mean Amazon. :-)

(Not been paying attention and reading up on it) The 2TB has 78GB of cache (internal I/O buffer), upon filling the write speed drops to 70MBps. So large I/O writes will stall out after a bit. I think this is different from their more expensive SSDs.
Seagate is not related to Samsung, they are two competitors. Some quick Google will answer your questions.

If your stock HP laptop has an HDD, then yes this will 100x be better than that. From what I can tell, this drive is almost on par with the EVO equivalent minus the TBW which means it has a "shorter" life span but if you plan on writing more than 720 TB of space during the lifetime of this drive, you should be looking at something more durable like the EVOs.

It has a 512 ssd already, it just a gaming laptop so not sure what data write amount would be. I do plan on keeping it a while.

If it's already got an SSD, chances are you won't see any real world difference unless this is some really low end SSD without DRAM.

The only reason to upgrade would be for capacity at that point.

You can use this website to do a comparison if you know the make and model of your SSD.

Excellent deal. Very tempting but I just got a 4TB HDD for $94. If it's just for gaming isn't the only advantage load times?

How do you get the additional $25 discount so $50 off at checkout? It's only showing me $75 discount for 3x
