Adding Best Buy via eBay [ebay.com] as an alternative option

I just found out that a 70-pint (old standard) Frigidaire dehumidifier I bought from Newegg 7 years ago for $200 was recalled for fire issues, and that they will replace it for free with a new model of similar size. If you have a humidifier purchased in the past 10 years, be sure to look into it because the same manufacturer (Midea) produced them for many different brands.

I was tempted to go for this after my other for the larger unit was delayed. Right as I'm looking at this, the bigger one shipped.

I only got the bigger for the water pulling capacity, but not sure if it will be any more efficient in dehydrating vs heat output.

Either way, good deal.

I'm in the market for a dehumidifier and while this is nice, I don't want to wait the 2 weeks before it comes back in stock. I'm not a costco member for the above deal. Anyone have any strong recommendations or know of any other deals? I'm looking for a 30 pint.

Can't add to cart - tells me there's a system issue that should be resolved soon. If I can't order this one later today, I'll go with the Costco Hisense one. My apt is brand new and has mold and mildew problems in the winter due to poor/cheap construction. Thanks everyone!

ymmv but I got an lg black model dehumidifier that holds 65 from Walmart it was 139.99. It does the job and I usually have to empty it once a day. But the front humidity auto adjust buttons and the run continuously for 2-4 hours buttons stopped working on the front I want to say 3-6 months after I got it. So I'm not sure I would recommend it too highly. But it works pretty well. Just sucks that I can't adjust it to run for more than 2 hours continuously and set it to run at lower than 70 humidity on the gauge. The one big negative I have is the basket is really hard to put back in due to its weird u shape. I know it's not the size you are looking for but figured I would mention It anyway.

If you have an aldis and can find one of their humidifiers they usually have great discounts on them. Especially the smaller dehumifiers which they have some nice ones for 18.99. I love their small dehumidifiers since they always work really well but you have to empty them like twice a day minimum. It'd be cool if there was a larger plastic container that could be put in the front for them since it's not like they'd fall over or anything. But for the price being 1/6th of a normal humidifier it's hard to complain. They have more normal sized humidifiers too in their easy home brand iirc that are around 89.99 - 119.00
But as always aldis is ymmv.
