Saves $40 from online retail or $10 if you've a Microcenter nearby (for comparisons sake).

For comparison, the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X is currently $429.99 at Amazon [amazon.com] and Newegg [newegg.com], and the Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 500GB is $109.99 at Amazon [amazon.com] and Newegg [newegg.com], for a total of $539.98 retail. So this deal is a savings of $41.10.

>500GB SSD

That's enough space for Win10 and 2, *maybe* 3 modern game installs.

This is not really a great deal, imo. The 3900x is regularly 429.99 and on sale price at $399.99 - The 970 Evo plus NORMAL price is like $110.

So, you are basically getting the 3900x Normal price for $429.99, then getting a $40 discount on a drive that regularly is discounted to 90, but you are basically getting it for 70.

I just don't think it's a great deal. Look for a better bundle sale. Plus honestly, the Evo plus is just ok for the price you 0
pay.

I tried and I could not get UnRaid working. Sad because I LOVE UnRaid... ended up backing up my data off the 12TBs that were on sale on Amazon recently and reformatted everything for Raid 5. Though, you need to have a motherboard that supports Raid 5, most are just 1,0,10. You're kind of SOL if you don't have enough matching drives though.

This would be great for an OS drive and then having separate ssd for games

It works I have the 3700x on two unraid systems without any problems.

Luckily I haven't had any problems. I do know VMs might be tricky on AMD with Unraid since motherboard matters. But so far I haven't had any problems with Nextcloud, Plex and Radarr Dockers.
