I got this last month as well and am returning it this week. I rarely return things but this was one of the worst pieces of equipment ever.

If the device you connect to it turns off (most bluetooth earphones or headphones you will want to turn off to save battery), the transmitter turns itself off after a while. So when you turn on your Bluetooth listening device the next time you want to use it, it won't connect to anything. You have to turn back on this transmitter every time before using it again. It really takes the convenience away of having a Bluetooth transmitter on and ready to transmit 24/7.

The other bad thing about this which is 100x more important is that it disconnects randomly. And worse, it doesn't auto reconnect after it disconnects. So every time I lost sound, I had to turn off my Bluetooth earphones and turn it back on to get sound again.

Also, it didn't pair with an older pair of Bluetooth earphones I had and a Vizio sb4051-c0 sound bar either. I tried many times unsuccessfully.

Stay far away from this. I got it at this same price and definitely not worth it
I also purchased one in last month's sale...which I absolutely did not need because I have several other Bluetooth 5 Aptx LL transmitters that work fine for sending my TV signal to my Bluetooth headphones.

It works perfectly for me, I have never had it shut off or randomly disconnect.

There is no battery in the transmitter, so it never ever shuts off if there is no input signal like many that have batteries do. My headphones have never shut off by themselves while watching TV, even if I pause things to take a TV break for 15-20 minutes. So, I have never had to turn the transmitter on again. As a result, I do not know if it turns off a while after your headphones turn off. I do turn it off when I finish watching TV. The giant circle in the center of the top is the on/off switch. Quick push, not difficult. It would be a pain if it was hidden under a cabinet or something like that.

When I start watching TV again, I turn on my headphones and tap the center circle...it turns on and immediately reconnects perfectly. This has never failed. It will connect automatically to either of my 2 headphones.

So, my experience has been great, and the range is exceptional. It works fine in my apartment and well down the hall. Love it.
For those that don't know another option is a roku ultra if you are wanting to connect headphones to TV for streaming....

With roku you download the app and you use your phone as both the remote control and can run headphones from your phone.

Roku is pretty awesome and the ultra can be had for 50$ on black Friday typically.

This may be old news to some people but it was a really cool find for me.

I purchased this last month when it was on sale and was a little skeptical but its worked much better than I anticipated. My only regret is not getting one earlier.

Yea it's definitely because you manually turn it off after use every time. Don't turn it off one time and turn off the connected devices and it will turn itself off automatically after a while.

This made it useless for my purposes. I wanted to connect an optical cable to the TV and tuck it away behind the TV never having to deal with it and always having a transmitter on for my headphones. Not sure what anyone else needs it for but that alone made it worthless to me and then add in the random disconnects, it wasn't for me

I wonder if any of the random disconnects are due to possibly having it too close to the television set with Wi-Fi on? If so, is your set using 2.4 Ghz or 5 Ghz?

In case you rely on a Fire TV stick, that thing has built-in Bluetooth headphone support. Just got to Settings > Controllers & Bluetooth Devices to pair your headphones.

Do you find there is a delay in the transmission where the talking doesn't match up?
