I've had this headset for years now but only recently retired it. Quick review:

The Good: Great wireless headset, the sound quality is good for wireless. The EQ software really brings immersive games to life, and the battery life is pretty long. The ear pads are OTE, soft and very breathable, they don't hurt after hours of gaming. The mic is average, people can understand you just fine but it's not crystal clear quality.

The Bad: Eventually, it's gonna have battery and connectivity issues. That's just how wireless products work. Mine would crackle pretty bad despite being near the wireless dongle, lose connection and reconnect frequently, and the mic wouldn't activate sometimes. This occurred around 2 years of use.

I didn't buy another because I saw the light of wired, high quality cans and great AMP/DAC combos (thanks to ZReviews). I can say for sure that for a cheap, high quality wireless gaming headset the G533 is really strong, but it's nothing compared to a full headphone, not headset, setup.

I own this and bought a second recently from Walmart for ~$75. The swing mic on mine died after about 2 years of really heavy use. It is the best? Probably not, but I think this is overall a solid headset. I have an extra USB receiver now and battery so for me it made sense. Audio quality seems pretty good, mic is good, distance on it is good. Some people say it isn't the most comfortable but it seems alright to me. Hopefully this helps someone!

Hate ordering stuff from newegg. Ships very slowly and their return policy is a complete lie, and their customer service is just awful.

I've had 2 of these have the mic die on me in the last year that I've had it. Logitech customer service was amazing though and replaced the bad mics both times.

This was the craziest sentence I've ever googled without requiring a VPN and private dedicated browser.

Does this have cut out issues? My other Logitech worked great for maybe a year and then would lose connection for 2-3 seconds. Really annoying.

These are what I use for gaming. I will never buy a different model. Very comfortable, and the sound is amazing. I can hear the footsteps and where they are coming from. Haven't had a single complaint. I bought a 3ft USB cord to extend the dongle to above my tower, and I can now use them clear across my house.

You don't want "true" surround sound in a headset because they're no such thing in headphones, or at least it doesn't work because there's not enough space in an earcup to accurately represent surround sound, so you're far better off with virtual surround. For example, the Razer headset that has 5 drivers in each earcup is awful, and every other headset that's tried it has executed it poorly too. If you want a "gaming" headset cuz it has those kind of extra features then I'd recommend Arctis Pro, higher end Hyperx headsets or the Astros. You can get better sound quality with a regular pair of headphones with a mic tho. Something like a $150-200 pair of Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, etc would be great. I personally like the features that gaming headsets can have so I use the Arctis Pro, and it's been the best headset of the 5 or 6 that I've owned.

I've got these for telework a few months ago. The best thing about this for meetings is the microphone automatically mutes when you flip it up. No wondering if you're muted while using the bathroom or yelling at the kids to be quiet during your meeting. Battery lasts a long time too. Got mine at WM for $79.
